Riffraff Diesel Billet Compressor Wheel 94-03
We are now offering our 2nd Generation performance billet compressor wheels for the 94-03 7.3L Powerstrokes. This wheel provides more than just anti-surge like the standard Borg Warner aka Whistlin' Wheel, Anti-Surge Wheel, Banks Wheel and other 5/5 blade compressor wheels. Because of its lighter mass it spools faster, while providing more CFM flow and boost pressure. We usually see a 5-7 PSI gain in boost, as well as less smoke, better drivability and quicker response. By incorporating new leading edge technology, metallurgy, and the new 4/4 blade design we are seeing an average of 17.4 hp and 38.7tq gain on stock injectors with just a swap of the wheel. We recommend balancing the rotating assembly if available, though the wheel is already dual plane balanced.
Fitment: 1994-2003 stock TP38/GTP38 including van turbo
*Note: Using an impact on installation is not recommended.

Billet turbo fam kit.
I have nothing but praise for your wonderful billet fan. It's easy to install and very quiet, very little whine. Thank you

Nice improvement
I'm 50+ years old. I buy a product for upgrade or performance only- and don't give a rat's arse about being cool or bragging about it.
Just rebuilt the turbo on my '00 7.3. 180,000 miles; completely stock engine.
Added this wheel to the rebuild. Took Clay's advise and had the rotating assembly balanced. Shop said rotating assembly was spot on; they didn't need to touch it. $50 spent for piece of mind.
New CAC boots from RiffRaff while I was at it.
Turbo installed. Let the truck idle for 30 minutes and drove it easy for 15 miles to get everything broken in and cozy inside the turbo.
Prior to rebuild, my truck had problems pushing 15psi. I can now see 17-18 if I stand on it; a couple pound improvement on the top end.
Turbo spools easier in the 5-10 pound range, where I run a lot.
Turbo whistle is present above 5-8 psi, but far from annoying- just barely enough noise to let you know there is a turbo under the hood.
Primary reason for buying this wheel was to help eliminate surge at high altitudes while towing. Will find out this summer if it helps or not.
Did this thing send sparks out my rear the first time I drove it? Not even close. But if it helps to cure surge, along with a mild performance gain, it will be worth it to me.

Noticealbe Inprovement!
Installed a 360 rebuild kit and this wheel on my 2003 f250. Can hear the whistle around 1600rpm and up and definitely notice a difference in power, especially on hills. Highly recommend!

Wish I had purchased this compressor wheel sooner!
Woke up my ol' 7.3 significantly for just a simple compressor wheel swap. Quality and precision piece, awesome bang for the buck! Better throttle response, power and improvement in boost you can feel. Installed gauges right after the wheel and seeing 19lbs of boost on factory tuning. Great performance upgrade that I wont have to remove for smog.. Gave my turbo the whistle I was hoping for, quiet while cruising but really comes to life when you put your foot in it. Even made the wife grin!

Nice.....
As with all Riffraff products, a quality piece. Noticeable improvements; no lag, and big increase in performance from mid-range on up. Don't notice a 'whistle', possibly my hearing :-), but the sound is different (good) and noticeable especially from about 1500 rpm and up. Looking forward to towing a load.

Improvement over stock wheel. Early 99 7.3L
First off if you are unlucky to have the early 99 7.3l like me your in for a job.... I thought this replacement was going to go real easy from what I had seen in videos but if you have the early 99, the bolt pattern is different on the compressor. We have a 4 bolt compressor vs the 5 bolt. You ask why that matters, well the 4 bolt has the bolts at the sides and top , bottom. You can't get to the bottom one without pulling the turbo off the pedistal. A 20 minute job took about 2 hours. With that said, I noticed a quicker spool of the turbo, more lower end power and around 4 more psi on the boost. Definitely an improvement over the stock wheel.
