Riffraff Diesel Billet Compressor Wheel 94-03
We are now offering our 2nd Generation performance billet compressor wheels for the 94-03 7.3L Powerstrokes. This wheel provides more than just anti-surge like the standard Borg Warner aka Whistlin' Wheel, Anti-Surge Wheel, Banks Wheel and other 5/5 blade compressor wheels. Because of its lighter mass it spools faster, while providing more CFM flow and boost pressure. We usually see a 5-7 PSI gain in boost, as well as less smoke, better drivability and quicker response. By incorporating new leading edge technology, metallurgy, and the new 4/4 blade design we are seeing an average of 17.4 hp and 38.7tq gain on stock injectors with just a swap of the wheel. We recommend balancing the rotating assembly if available, though the wheel is already dual plane balanced.
Fitment: 1994-2003 stock TP38/GTP38 including van turbo
*Note: Using an impact on installation is not recommended.

Well worth the investment
I should have done this a long time ago! I had issues with surge for years but kept putting it off. I decided to do a rebuild on my turbo while I had it out for some other motor work, so I purchased the 360 rebuild kit and the Riffraff Billet Compressor Wheel. Noticeable difference off the bat, not too loud either. Recommended!!

This will make a difference
This wheel is a great upgrade for a stock turbo. Much more boost and not too loud. Highly suggested upgrade for those wanting to pep up their 7.3L!

Set you back in your seat power!!
Ok. So I am not one to typically write reviews but I wanted to with these upgrades. My PSD was really sluggish and not making any power to tow my camper. So I installed the billet compressor wheel and the 360 rebuild kit for the turbo. Also ordered the complete CAC intercooler boots because mine where obviously leaking after I inspected them. To top it all off I installed the MAP boost over ride kit. Man what a difference once you reach about 10 psi of boost this thing is a rocket now! It just pulls you back in the seat. There is not much more turbo noise than before just a little cleaner sounding. So I would definatly reccomend these products.

Thoroughly pleased with the new compressor wheel
I just installed my rebuilt, oem Garrett turbo with the Riffraff billet compressor wheel. At the same time, I installed a Banks Big Head wastegate actuator (set at 4 turns = 24-25 psi), replaced the "donut" gaskets to the original up-pipes, and installed a 4" exhaust without muffler. Though I can't evaluate the compressor wheel separately, I can comment on the combination . . . big, big, big difference!! and this is without a tuner being implemented yet. The truck has so much more low end torque and acceleration than before. The best advise I can give, make sure your truck is functioning perfectly mechanically before going the tuner route. All of this was well worth it!! Next . . . making sure the HPOP and injector are healthy . . . and getting a custom tune.

Wow
Simple up grade. Got about 100 miles on it so far haven’t seen more boost yet but the boost come on earlier and a whole lot smoother. Noise what noise a little more whistle which is music to my ears. Definitely made an difference.

Turbo wheel
97 7.3 don’t worry about whistle and boost numbers. Mine seems to have more pull to it (torque). Also have a chip, 1.0 housing and intercooler if this helps anyone make a decision

Excellent Riff Raff product
Originally purchased for my OBS, but I didnt have the need to remove my turbo. I recently bought a stock 2001 Superduty and the day after I bought it I installed an intake, exhaust and and this wheel. I didn't own it long enough to be able to compare this wheel and the stock one. After I added a Hydra in the mix I was suprised that a crew cab long bed 7.3 with an open diff could could endless donuts on dry pavement. Turbo whistle sounds fantastic. It does surge after a healthy burnout but a disconnected wastegate might have some influence on that. All In all it another great product from Riff Raff!

4x4 compressor wheel
Had a stock compressor wheel in my 1999 F350 and was going to rebuild the turbo with new seals and bushings. After reviews, I was led to Riffraff and their 4short/4long blade compressor wheel. Bought it for the reviews, quality and price. Now installed, my spool up I quick, works as it should and sounds like a big rig. Really compliments a cold air intake system, chip and exhaust! Thanks
