Installed this on my 03 along with the journal bearing kit and boost fooler. Slightly quicker throttle response and quicker spool up (hardly any smoke now when I stab the throttle in tow and street fury with gearhead tunes). Cured ALL surge! I use my 03 to haul 3-4k in the bed everyday, has a nice "big rig" whistle cruising up a mountain now. Hitting 26lbs of boost, but did notice about 50 degree increase in egts at highway speeds

So far this has been the best bang for my buck from RiffRaff or any other company. Install was pretty simple, but you do need to be careful if using the impact wrench. Truck takes off better and midrange is improved as well. I don't notice much surge at all anymore. I don't notice the whistle really, and I have the Riffraff 6637 Air filter kit. Which I would also recommend. The wheel is lighter than your stock one, so Im sure that plays a part in spooling faster. Over all I highly recommend this upgrade.

completely eliminated the surge. Spools quicker and is more consistent while towing. Recommend for all 7.3L diesels

I purchased this turbo wheel along with the international bellowed up pipes due to the leaking exhaust. I removed the turbo to replace the prints while off. This turbo wheel replaced my stock unit (super smooth install) and wow what a difference. Between repairing the up pipe leaks and the turbo wheel she runs like a hot rod now. The turbo has a nice added whistle to!! The whistle is only noticeable if u are accelerating, and sounds factory under low throttle, just what I wanted, thanks!! Very happy

Highly recommanded update. I replaced WW gen I with the billet one from Riffraff and never looked back.
I will however recocmmand installing the wheel the "proper" way - don't go the easy way of using an impact wrench. You may end up damaging the compressor wheel as a result

I recommend this to anybody looking for a replacement compressor wheelfor their PowerStroke. Spools around 1700 rpm as compared to the factory wheel spooling around 2000+ rpm. Whistles a little louder and overall just sounds better.

I did the compressor wheel, rebuild kit and the EBPV delete pedestal and the high flow exhaust outlet. The R and R of the turbo and the rebuild went great with your step by step print outs and the wheel exceeded my expectations, no more surge and a 6 psi boost increase is freaking awsome! The sutile turbo whistle is just a cool extra! Thanks for your help and I will have no problem sending people to Riffraff for their parts and expertise!

directions were specific - had no problem with the install - love the extra performance !

Spools quicker and could really tell a difference when towing 24' trailer up hill and maintaining speed. Noticed a little difference in compressor whistle but not terribly loud just enough to hear the difference. Great product for towing and mpg.
