Short back story - back in November, I installed an expensive, what was supposed to be the granddaddy of all drop in OBS turbos when I installed my RiffRaff up pipes. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. It spooled a little earlier and sounded cool, but otherwise didn't perform any better than my stock, used and abused 280k mile turbo. So, I paired this wheel with the 1.0 exhaust housing and a new Garrett center cartridge, and all I can say is holy crap!! For reference, my truck has stage 1 injectors, electric fuel system, t500 HPOP, intake and exhaust, and a 6 position chip and sits on 35" tires. I took it easy for about 10 miles to make sure everything was good, and then slowed to about 30 and matted the pedal. I was doing 80 in a matter of seconds, I haven't had a stupid grin stuck on my face like that in a long time!! The boost was instant and she just took off. If you're thinking about buying this wheel, do it!!

Installed on a 1997 7.3 and noticed an immediate difference. I installed it without removing the turbo from the truck, and without using an impact gun. If you take the down pipe off, and place a screwdriver wrapped in a rag into the turbine side of the turbo, it will hold the wheel still enough so you can remove the compressor wheel without causing stress to the shaft or harming the turbine. There is not much change in whistle, but you can definitely feel a difference right off the bat. The exhaust sounds a little deeper too. Cant wait to put on a 1.0 quick spool housing and really wake this turbo up!

Noticed the difference right away! My trucks first upgrade I guess you would call it haha! Very happy with it! spoils up way quicker and I'm sure it builds more boost * I don't have gauges yet*

Easy to install and it makes a big difference for the amount of money. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a mild performance upgrade.

I was expecting a difference, but the difference is amazing. Turbo lag is pretty much gone. There is no hesitation anymore as the turbo spools up. Throttle input is instantaneous now. Boost pressure builds much faster too. I loved my 7.3 before, but now I love it even more. This weekend I will be putting it to the test pulling my 28' travel trailer up to the mountains. Another great Riffraff products. Thanks Clay.

No more surge or flutter... just clean, smooth quiet boost all the way up.

Love how it sounds and spools vary nice. Makes about 3-4 more psi of boost and definitely more power truck runs amazing! Well worth the money and ship right away. I did a lot of research before I bought this wheel. Was going to get ww2 till I found this one. It's cheaper then a ww2 and from what I found it is a better performing wheel to!

This wheel spools a lot better then the factory wheel and increased low end throttle response, even in my stock chip setting. Small increase in whistle but when climbing steep grades or towing its defiantly louder. Well worth the money.

Installed on my 2000 7.3 running a ts chip built tranny intake and exhaust. Really wasnt expecting a big noticeable difference... I was wrong faster spooling and I got an extra 8 lbs of boost.Really pulls through the gears now, also noticed egt drops faster after letting off than with the stock wheel.
Very satisfied.
