I have a 2001 7.3 with 37 inch tires and stock gears. This combination made it a bit tricky to tow anything over 1000 lbs. EGT's would run high on inclines and the stock turbo wouldnt start to make adequate boost until around 1600 to 1700 rpm. Now with the RiffRaff wheel, the stock turbo starts to boost right from about 1200 rpm, and comes on strong around 1400. This has made climbing hills so much easier. EGT's are down almost 300 degrees while towing. And while merging onto the highway with a trailer, the stock turbo runs up to and over 27 psi on stock tunes. What a HUGE improvement this wheel made. The nice little turbo whistle is pretty awesome too.

If you have any turbo flutter/surge, don't hesitate to buy this wheel. Got rid of all my flutter and lowered exhaust temp about 100 degrees while towing. Didn't see any psi gain, but didn't want it for extra boost. Might see more psi gain on different tune. I Have only used on 80 Eco tune and 60 tow so far. Definitely worth the money.

This wheel has a good sound. It isn't too loud. It's got more whistle than the stock wheel. Under load its a bit more noticeable.

I was hesitant to purchase this compression fan as I have read mixed reviews. But I wanted that whistle sound and the extra air flow more over. Its easy to install, if you know what your doing I suppose hehe. It works great!! When my chip is on that sucker SCREAMS on the freeway and I mean you can hear it clearly whistling hard and its awesome!! Overall 4 stars, great quality product definitely engineered precisely. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid cheap upgrade. You should definitely be doing it if your taking the turbo off like I did as its the only time to do it with complete ease.

I purchased the RR wheel to eliminate turbo surge. It did a great job with that. An added benefit is that it spools up quicker and produces more boost than the stock wheel. It sounds pretty awesome too!!

I decided to upgrade my wheel since my turbo was leaking badly and needed to be rebuild anyway. I was hoping for a modest improvement over stock and I got it. I didn't have gauges before so I don't know what my old numbers were, but I can hit 25 PSI on my old truck with no problem now and the response is definitely a noticeable improvement. I think it was well worth the money.

The sound alone would classify this as wicked in my book! I've got an open element filter and while spooling up it sounds like a jet engine. Really awesome sound, but can get obnoxious on long runs under a load. Easily remedied with a different intake kit when I get around to it. The wheel did the three primary things I wanted from it. Lowered my egt's about 100 degrees, reduced lag by at least half and significantly decreased smoke output on higher tunes. I did not seem to gain any power or boost which is fine...neither were important.

I would very highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a wheel. Like all Riffraff products, the quality is outstanding.

installed this billet wheel about 4 months ago and love it.

Gained 7 psi of boost over the anti-surge 10 blade wheel. This spools quicker, egts are around 150 degrees lower, and more power too.
