OCR - Overboost Code Regulator™ for Ford 7.3L 99-03
The purpose of the OCR™ is to regulate the presence of an "overboost code" that sets the Service Engine Soon light and stop the PCM from defueling at 23 psi of boost. We are the first to utilize a pre-set custom regulator that will allow your MAP Sensor to see up to 22psi before holding it there. With the use of a pre-set regulator it doesn't allow there to be human error when setting it or to accidently be adjusted out of the correct setting. By using this highly accurate regulator your performance will not be hampered or degraded. You can perform this same mod your self with a compressor regulator from a hardware store, but from experience we have learned that these models can be extemely inaccurate at low psi levels. Because of the inaccuracy and inability to hold the pressure at the same psi you end up adjusting it down there by losing performance. Our OCR™ was made to prevent overboost, but it doesn't enhance performance, it allows the computer to perform past what would normally be an overboost condition. If you aren't building over 23+ and experiencing defueling then this product isn't what you are looking for.
To make this a true bolt on product, and not just a cheaper bent hanger, we include a laser cut, black anodized custom bracket that moves your MAP sensor and allows for a clean looking install.

Nice product, easy to install and looks great. I have an early 99 PSD which has smaller turbo and injectors than the late 99-03 so even with the boost fooler I only pull about 3psi more than stock. The good thing though is my truck also shifts better because the boost fooler prevents it from de-fueling and up shifting too soon. Worth the $$.

2nd one I’ve bought. One for my 02 and one for my dads 99. Works perfectly. Will only see 20-22 psi so it won’t defuel now. You’ll need this to build over 25 psi. Hydra tunes will only hide the check engine light. Only down side is that my edge insight won’t accurately read boost over 20 psi because the fooler. It does it’s job perfectly. I’ll have to get an analog boost gauge

Produce works exactly as designed. the quality of construction is outstanding. Not some cheap stamped metal and thin hoses. One alert to those of you that have the Banks Engine brake, you will have to spend some time relocating and rewiring the Bank's parts in order to install the OCR.

Best one on the market
Hands down this boost fooler is the best on the market. I had one for dieselsite for a few years and it seemed like it was doing the job. Decided to go for a cleaner look so I purchased this one. Of course it looks much better than just hanging on your MAP line. But I didn't realize that the dieselsite was just leaking boost off. I actually picked up about 1.5 psi on my CTS2 just from running this OCR. I am now a believer in the quality these guys have and I will be back.
