KC S300 Drop In GTP38 Turbine Wheel Early 99-03
KC Turbo new 7.3L s300 style drop in turbine wheel! THIS IS A DROP IN WHEEL. NO MODIFICATIONS NEEDED. You will see the blades are larger, it captures more air and will spool much faster and is more efficient. This new wheel is based off of an s300sxe style wheel. We offer them for the OBS and SuperDuty trucks and Econoline as well.
They have done extensive testing on these wheels, we sent out 40 testers and everybody LOVED THEM. More boost, quicker spool up, more power, and cooler egts. This can be added to an existing D66 turbo also.
IMPORTANT: We do not recommend this on stock compressor wheels, this wheel will help the turbo to spool better and run harder... which can exacerbate the surge problem with the stock compressor wheels. It must be paired with a billet wheel. It can also be used with D66 style turbos.
These wheels will come component balanced.
On the left in the comparison photos above is the stock 7.3 turbine wheel; it is much less efficient and is an outdated design.
NOTE: May not fit with an exhaust brake.

Excellent Product
I combined this with the Riffraff Diesel billet compressor wheel and the 360 rebuild kit. What a difference over stop, better spool up and almost 30 psi of boost now.

Must have for stock turbo
Installed on my work pickup that I tow heavy with a lot and it is a definite improvement. Lowered my egt’s a little and exhaust back pressure. It seems to spoil about the same as the stock wheel. I also installed the RiffRaff 4x4 compressor wheel and together with the sxe style exhaust wheel the turbo works very well.

I installed this with a Riffraff Diesel Billet Compressor Wheel and a 360 bearing kit. Running with a 60 h.p. tow tune and a 80 h.p. economy tune I think my boost builds at a lower engine rpm and really woke up my throttle response. Riffraff is the best place to buy your Powerstroke parts.

No issues and exceeds expectations.
I don't have an EGT gauge so I can't speak for EGTs, but I paired it with a riff raff compressor wheel, 360 Bearing kit, high flow outlet, delete pedestal and banks wastegate actuator. In hindsight, I could have just ordered a full turbo, but the job was fun and a challenge for myself and it's working great. Faster spool, more boost, and the turbo sounds great.
