I tried for a long time using the factory clamps. They were just old. I got new hot side boots and hot side clamps. Maybe other folks have had luck with other clamps but I feel not just any old clamp will do. These are good quality clamps and hold everything on well. I feel they will be on there for a long time to come.

Dont skimp on this after buying the boots. Look and feel like they will hold up well but again have yet to use one of the clamps. Spare clamps for now.

Why try to use old clamps on new boots? Its pointless, spend the extra money and get new clamps. You'll love them if you have to put them on or love not having to worry about them falling off down the road

Glad I ordered these with my new boots, bc the springs on the old clamps showed corrosion and heat degradation. Torqued to 9ftlbs.

Great quality band but is a little bit of a pain to tighten down. Socket kept wanting to get hung up on the metal behind the nut. Not a deal breaker but would be an improvement.
