    CPS

Posted by Unknown on Dec 12th 2014

Bought the Motorcraft CPS to replace a 5 month old Napa CPS. So far works great. Riffraff Diesel had great prices and very fast shipping.
I am comfortable recommending them to my friends and family.

Tried several different cps's and this one works best.

So I've recently embarked on the hunt for the best cps option in my early 99 7.3 F350. I started with the Ford recall grey sensor, it works but runs loud and sounds rough. I tried a Standard Motor Products PC139 and while this one definitely made my truck idle smoothest/quietest and overall gave good performance it only lasted 2 weeks..
I then tried a Borg Warner (BWD) CPS, this one ran well, looks more like the original black cps with the larger magnet. The BWD ran smoother than the Grey recall cps but not as smooth as the Standard Motor cps. I did have a couple incidents with the truck dying while running the intermittent wipers and it eventually stopped working after about a week.. Im now running this dark blue/charcoal international cps and so far so good. The truck doesn't run as smooth as with the Standard and BWD but a little better than the Grey recall sensor. I've been running it for about a week so far worth no issues.

    My backup one

Posted by Joe O. on Nov 16th 2014

Bought this to have as a backup in my glove box. Had to recently replace the old one in my truck with the newer version like this one I bought. So far the replacement is working great but never hurts to have an extra one of these with you as I've learned from the advice of others and it paid off.

    Motorcraft or nothing!

Wasted 25 on a Borg Warner replacement cps. Started to sputter once it got hot and through a code within a week. Order my oem replacement and haven't had an issue since. Lesson learned!

    CPS Sensor

This fixed my '94.5 Powerstroke - now running reliably. If you run ok and then get very rough missing and then no start this may be it. It's a good thing to have as a spare anyway and is cheap.

    pretty good so far

This cps works well in my 2000 7.3l so far. I havent driven that far but my fuel mileage has not suffered and it runs nice.

    Replaced as maintence

Posted by Jim Beers on Oct 8th 2014

I had just rebuilt the fuel bowl, replaced the IPR and ICP and the CPS. The IPR was the problem but after 13 years and 200k miles I figured to do some preventive maintence. Exursion 7.3 started right up and ran very smooth.

    Problem solved

Posted by Dwain Dempsey on Sep 6th 2014

I replaced the grey replacement cps with this one and solved the rough idle and hesitation/jerking at highway speeds. I only wish I would have changed it sooner. The shipping was lightning fast! Great job!
