Works better!
Truck runs smoother, more power, better MPG, and I even think it's making the hair grow back on my head.

Big improvement over the recall grey cps
Wasn't the black cps that the picture sort of made it out to be, but it was a great improvement over the grey cps my truck had in it. Every 7.3 owner should buy one if they haven't already. Improved my fuel consumption by almost 2mpg and the truck is quicker and idles 10x smoother and even sounds better! Highly reccomended

Good fix for a bad sensor
Relatively easy to install. This is a dark blue one.Bought 2. One to replace what turned out to be a grey one that sometimes got engine out of sync (time) on starting. Would have to shut off engine immediately, then return start and problem gone. No problems with this installed.

Great CPS for my 2001 F250 PSD!
I recently replaced my recall grey CPS with the Motorcraft F4TZ12K073C from RiffRaff.
I haven't been able to check the mileage but the truck starts great now and runs much smoother than before.
Even if there is no appreciable mileage increase I highly recommend this CPS for the later model PSD. It is great!!! -
Spare
Purchased as a spare to have just in case. Have not installed it yet, still running with the one from the recall. Will probably swap it with the grey one and use it for the spare when it gets warmer. Always super fast shipping. Thanks RiffRaff.

Best Option Available
Considering the "Black" CPS in no longer available and all the dealer part numbers default to the "Grey" version - this is the only and actually best option for your Diesel. I purchased a brand new "Grey" CPS and it caused extended cranking before starting in the mornings - also had a rougher than normal idle. I contacted Riffraff and got this one - truck starts the best it has ever started with 180,000 miles and runs smooth. This is the one!

An easy fix
This is keeping my 7.3 running like a champ and continuing to pump out the foot pounds. What a great motor! A genuine motorcraft sensor is the way to go.
