    Problem solved

Posted by Dwain Dempsey on Sep 6th 2014

I replaced the grey replacement cps with this one and solved the rough idle and hesitation/jerking at highway speeds. I only wish I would have changed it sooner. The shipping was lightning fast! Great job!

    OEM is a must!!

Posted by Unknown on Sep 1st 2014

Long story short: truck was idling badly and stalling so I bought a CPS from Oreillys. Installed sensor and started having intermittent problems with truck cutting/jerking/ whatever you want to call it around 2-2300 rpm. Replaced throttle position sensor, fuel filter, in line fuel pump, and dropped tank to clean fuel filters. Nothing worked. Ordered this OEM sensor from Riff Raff for cheaper than the aftermarket POS and it fixed the problem. Lesson learned!!

    Works

Can't say much about this other than it works. OEM ford is the only way to go on the CPS.

    Best one yet

I have tried several cam sensors over the years but this one has the Old Truck running like new again. I think it does idle better and in the performance tune seems happy.

    Time Will Tell

Just got it in & installed. Hope it is better than generic part. I have had 9 months of "heck" with my truck. It would die only in wet weather. After spending over a month in the shop & still not fixed, I read on several forums how the problem is caused by dual issues. The off-brand CPS, & the windshield wiper motor causing the malfunctions. All I can say is, "So-Far-So-Good"!

The main reason I rated this item was to say that riff raff shipping is lightning quick!

    Problem Solved

I have a 1999 F350 with a 7.3 Diesel and about 80,000 miles on the odometer. Truck was stalling at signal lights. I replaced the Glow Plug Relay first, but that did not fix it. The day after I replaced the Motorcraft Cam Position Sensor (CPS) I drove my truck from Southern California to Fresno and back, a 500 mile round trip with no issues. I am calling it fixed.
