*Note: Factory 1994 - Early 1999 have 2" plenums, and Late 1999-2003 have 3" Plenums

*Note: Anodized Color on Aluminum can be discolored / damaged by chemical engine cleaners. Use only soap and water to clean.

*Fitment Note: The hardware included with the plenums is intended to secure the plenums and GPR/AIH bracket only; if the fuel line clamp and AIH ground wire will be re-used, customer will need to make provision for the reinstallation of those items. Due to variations in fuel systems, aftermarket HPOP, and turbos we can not guarantee fit with all options on the market. Some early OBS trucks stock fuel line adapters can interfere with the plenums. We suggest the RDP-FFL line kit in place of the stock fuel lines for the 1999-2003 models.

This billet aluminum intake plenum delivers improved airflow and long-lasting durability compared to factory units. Its high-quality finish not only looks great but also enhances thermal efficiency. Perfect for boosting engine response and power without compromising reliability.

Bolts back out no matter what I do.

Posted by Daniel Griffin on Sep 6th 2025

This kit needs either the bolt bosses to be machined wider to accept lock washers or the bolts themselves need to be lock bolts. I’ve cleaned the threads and used high quality loctite but the bolts still losen rather quickly and boost blows the oring out. Happened twice now on both heads. Overall these far exceed the oem design, but for money paid this is an annoying problem to have. Would also be nice to have the 1/4orb-1/8npt fitting needed to plug in a boost gauge.

    Billet Plenums

Posted by Bob Reed on Aug 15th 2025

The plenums are well made and beautifully finished. Too bad you can't see them after installation is completed. The stainless hardware is nice however half of the Allen bolts require one size Allen socket and half require another size. This doesn't make sense to me Also I think there should be 3 studs included in the hardware with nuts to secure the glow plug solenoid bracket and the cable strap for the passenger side fuel feed line. I went to my local Napa and got the stainless studs from them. I think for the price point of the plenums the studs should be included in the hardware. I'm a little skeptical of the 89 inch pound torque of the mounting bolts. This seems a bit lite to me but it may be fine. I have the plenums installed but since I'm doing other upgrades while I have it apart I haven't started the truck yet. I will be doing a pressure leak test after everything is back together to look for air leaks. This is a very hard installation which requires removal of the turbo and the turbo pedestal. Do whatever needs to be done while you have the engine torn down that far to make it easier on yourself. Your back will thank you for it.

Overall best purchase for the money

Definitely gives you better peace of mind when tightening down your plenum boots I'm not worrying about crushing them anymore. Definitely cleans up the engine bay a little bit as well. My only issue is that instead of giving you two longer 30mm(could've been 35mm IMO)Allen head bolts to hold down the air intake heater relay / glow plug relay they should have included regular hex heads or 2 45mm studs with low profile lock nuts to torque them to spec. Can't get an Allen and torque wrench under the bracket that holds the relays on.

    Craftsmanship

Another high quality product. Due to weak sheet metal design of the factory pieces that leak with increased psi, these plenums fix all those issues. Quality billet, cnc designed with an oring and increased thickness eliminating all weakness and potential failure points. Seeing 30 plus psi and pressure tested with no leaks.

    Billet Plenum Kit

I was hesitant of installing the orings after reading some of the reviews, but it was not an issue. I guess it depends on experience but it wasn't an issue. Far better than factory, and fit perfect on my 1996 7.3 truck. Great addition to my intercooler install., and I recommend them for anyone that is tired of the leaky stock plenum.

    Well made in the USA

Much better quality than my stock parts. It was a little difficult getting the o-rings on, however in my opinion better than silly RTV.

    Billet Plenum Kit

This is a much needed upgrade over the stock intake plenum. Overall straight forward install, just follow the provided instructions. Make sure the head surface is clean, and if you are in a cold climate like me stretch the oring before install and they will drop right in. Stainless hardware is a very nice touch as well.

    OBS fittment

Nice finish, O ring is a pain to install on plenum, dosnt like to stay put. Would work better if it was form fitted. The biggest problem is on the passenger side head. It is not beveled for the fuel line fitting to attach to fuel line return to bowl, and the bottom bolt that is slotted dosnt come out far enough to get plenum in without rolling little o ring gasket. Had to dremel spot for fuel fitting and cut down spot for bottom bolt to fit without rolling gasket.
