Riffraff Diesel Billet Compressor Wheel 94-03

We are now offering our 2nd Generation performance billet compressor wheels for the 94-03 7.3L Powerstrokes. This wheel provides more than just anti-surge like the standard Borg Warner aka Whistlin' Wheel, Anti-Surge Wheel, Banks Wheel and other 5/5 blade compressor wheels. Because of its lighter mass it spools faster, while providing more CFM flow and boost pressure. We usually see a 5-7 PSI gain in boost, as well as less smoke, better drivability and quicker response. By incorporating new leading edge technology, metallurgy, and the new 4/4 blade design we are seeing an average of 17.4 hp and 38.7tq gain on stock injectors with just a swap of the wheel. We recommend balancing the rotating assembly if available, though the wheel is already dual plane balanced.

Fitment: 1994-2003 stock TP38/GTP38 including van turbo

    Installed

Installed this wheel as part of a turbo rebuild that I did with the up-pipe replacement. First impressions are awesome. I have never run an aftermarket wheel but I am happy with the performance so far.

Best wheel on the market. Faster spool, and less smoke after install. Paired with the awesome customer service and fast shipping from these guys and what more could you ask for?

    Not quite perfect

Posted by Mark L. Smith on May 1st 2020

I updated my stock turbo with this wheel. I have stock injectors, 4 inch MBRP muffler'd exhaust, Tymar intake and a TS chip with Tony Wildman tunes. My favorite tune is the heavy tow tune, but it has always surged between 65-70 miles per hour. The new wheel still surges, but from 68-71 miles per hour. I did all of this work to gain 3 mph cushion for no surge? I suppose I can just drive 65 or 75 now. My EGTs did go down noticibly from 725 to 650 while cruising on the interstate in cool April 80 degrees day. I probably should have bought the WW2.

    Better than the WW

Posted by Jim Kranz on Apr 24th 2020

I had a Wicked Wheel in my early 99 and replaced it with this one. With the WW, my 110hp tune and intake/exhaust I would almost never get an overboost code. With this unit I get it every time I drive. Already ordered an OCR from Riffraff!!

    Great wheel, eliminated surge

Posted by Jeremy on Apr 22nd 2020

Nice billet wheel. Install was easy, had to tighten another turn and a half once I reached torque spec to fully seat it. Seems to spool up a bit faster and has a faint high pitch whistle at >2700 rpm. It has eliminated the surge when shifting from 3rd to OD while getting on the freeway aggressively. Have not towed with it yet but hope it performs just as well under load.

    Top notch!

Cured my horrible turbo Surge and pulls hills super smooth now. Response and spooling is way quicker than the stock wheel. Little more whistle but nothing horrible. Thanks for all the help Clay!

    Billet compressor wheel

Posted by Chris Cucuel on Mar 24th 2020

I previously had the Banks compressor wheel installed & after replacing it with the Billet wheel from Riffraff, I saw an increase in boost from 21 to 24 , also it increases much quicker.
