Riffraff Diesel 7.3L Powerstroke Injector Cup / Sleeve Tool Set 94-03

Brand New Patented Design!

We have refined our injector cup/sleeve tools over the last 12 years, using them ourselves and as rental units, and we have now been awarded patents on their design and released them to production. These tools were designed for 7.3L gearheads by 7.3L gearheads.

Unlike our competitors’ cup tools, our design is engineered for efficient, repeated shop use removing and installing the injector cups. We believe removing and installing the injector cups should be a more surgical operation, not something requiring beating cups in with hammers and leaving brass filings from the removal process behind. Thus we have designed our tools with tight tolerances and clean injector bores in mind.

Since we utilize the latest in metallurgical and coating technology it allows us to thread our removal tool into the damaged injector cup without creating any filings or chips to fall into your cylinders. Both our puller and installation tool use bridges that are quickly fastened to the injector mounting holes, eliminating the need to remove your rocker arms and allowing for a faster overall job.

Our Patented install tool is really the breakthrough; rather than hammering on your new cups in tight spaces and hoping they are seated, simply use a socket and allow the tool to press the cup in. The tool allows for a completely seated cup every time; no guessing and no hammering, even on the back cylinders or e-series vans. To ensure our install tool doesn't deform your new cup as our competitors’ tools do, it is machined to engage both the full surface of the cup bottom and the top lip. The tool also features an o-ring as a keeper to allow strategic placement of the cup in the injector bore instead of dropping it in and risking displacement of your sealant. In order to allow the cup to seat without turning in the head, the install tool is engineered to include a ball bearing to prevent cup rotation while being pressed in. All hardware has been coated for rust resistance as well as to achieve a Rockwell hardness of over 62 to ensure a long life.

    Well Worth the Price

Posted by David Tanner Jr on Jun 11th 2017

I looked at different tools to purchase and this one had the best rating and reviews. The tool worked flawless in the hard to reach places like #8 cylinder and cylinders next to the heater box. I am pleased to add this tool to my inventory.

Glad I didn't buy the cheaper tool

Posted by Cody on May 28th 2017

I don't know how the fuck you can get a hammer on the back sleeves to pound them in. Especially on passenger side. That's the only reason why I got this tool makes install simple torqued cups to 35-37 ft lbs and seated perfectly every time.
Spend the extra money and get this tool.

    7.3L Injector sleeve tool kit

Posted by Luke A. Zehr on Dec 23rd 2016

This tool kit far surpasses the conventional tools that I've used up till now. We were forced to do research when I was trying to replace injector sleeves in a van body. I had this kit overnighted to me and it worked great with the minimum clearance that you have in a van body. The concept of pressing in the sleeve instead of hammering them in is far better. The tool also holds onto the sleeve instead of just dropping the sleeve as you insert it into the head. The puller works better as well.

Fretted about doing this, but this tool was a huge relief!

Posted by Leo Miller on Oct 7th 2016

Very nice set of tools! Once I figured out the right amount of torque to bite into the cup just enough to extract, but not make it hard to remove the cup from the tool afterwards, it was smooth sailing for the rest of the cups! The threaded nature of the installation tool also worked in the very tight areas at the rear cylinders. If I changed injector cups for a living I would buy these in a second. Thank goodness this tool is available as a rental. The 'kit' I purchased included the injector cups, injector O rings and the correct LocTite. I have zero reasons to look at anyone else's tool.

    Great tool.

Posted by Unknown on Oct 3rd 2016

This is a tool that has one purpose and does it extremely well. It removes and installs injector cups with the greatest of ease. I did not use the other peoples tool, as it looked difficult to get into the back cylinders. Instead I splurged and bought this tool. I considered renting it, but I don't generally like rental tools and love buying tools. I am extremely pleased. I have been a mechanic for over 30 years. I have bought lots of tools. For its use, and the price difference between this tool and the other cheaper tool, this is well worth the extra expense. It could not have worked better.

The only change I would like to make it to put a flat bearing and washers under the nut on the removal tool. It is probably not necessary, I just think it would improve the tool.
