Riffraff Diesel 7.3L Powerstroke Injector Cup / Sleeve Tool Set 94-03

Brand New Patented Design!

We have refined our injector cup/sleeve tools over the last 12 years, using them ourselves and as rental units, and we have now been awarded patents on their design and released them to production. These tools were designed for 7.3L gearheads by 7.3L gearheads.

Unlike our competitors’ cup tools, our design is engineered for efficient, repeated shop use removing and installing the injector cups. We believe removing and installing the injector cups should be a more surgical operation, not something requiring beating cups in with hammers and leaving brass filings from the removal process behind. Thus we have designed our tools with tight tolerances and clean injector bores in mind.

Since we utilize the latest in metallurgical and coating technology it allows us to thread our removal tool into the damaged injector cup without creating any filings or chips to fall into your cylinders. Both our puller and installation tool use bridges that are quickly fastened to the injector mounting holes, eliminating the need to remove your rocker arms and allowing for a faster overall job.

Our Patented install tool is really the breakthrough; rather than hammering on your new cups in tight spaces and hoping they are seated, simply use a socket and allow the tool to press the cup in. The tool allows for a completely seated cup every time; no guessing and no hammering, even on the back cylinders or e-series vans. To ensure our install tool doesn't deform your new cup as our competitors’ tools do, it is machined to engage both the full surface of the cup bottom and the top lip. The tool also features an o-ring as a keeper to allow strategic placement of the cup in the injector bore instead of dropping it in and risking displacement of your sealant. In order to allow the cup to seat without turning in the head, the install tool is engineered to include a ball bearing to prevent cup rotation while being pressed in. All hardware has been coated for rust resistance as well as to achieve a Rockwell hardness of over 62 to ensure a long life.

    E series must!

Posted by Unknown on Feb 15th 2018

I have a mobile repair business. Have a new customer with an E450 that had diesel appearing in his coolant tank. With the "other style" tool, the engine would of had to been pulled. Out in the field, I don't have that kind of equipment with me. With Riffraff's tool, the job was able to get done with the engine in the van. Saving my customer money, getting the job done quicker, and getting me off to my next broke down customer sooner. 4 of the 8 sleeves were cracked...replace them all!!

    Best tool in the box

Posted by Unknown on Feb 6th 2018

Purchased this tool after seeing a friend use it on a rental. I work at a ford dealer and have been using a rosewood tool for about 3 years now. After using riffraff's tool on two jobs now all I can say is holy cow what an amazing pieces of equipment. I wish I would have known about these and I would have never purchased the eBay tools (which are now in the trash BTW). Not having to hammer the crap out of the driver alone is worth every penny. I heavily recommend this to tech that is doing a sleeve cup job. More money in my pocket as it has sped up my job time by almost 15 mins. You can tell these guys have done a lot of sleeve jobs and obviously know what they are doing.

    MUST HAVE

Posted by Brad E on Nov 30th 2017

Had fuel in my coolant it my Early 99 7.3. 99% chance it was bad injector cups. Spend the coin and buy/rent this. It was my first time even taking the valve covers off, let alone pulling injectors/cups out. Very easy and straight forward to use. His PDF with instructions made it crystal clear. JUST GET THIS

    Buy it!

Your're a gosh darn fool if you think you can get away with a cheaper removal tool set. Learn from my mistake and buy this! Worth it's weight in gold!

    Happy wrenching,

    Excellent tool

Posted by Jimmy frye on Oct 15th 2017

The tool itself is awesome and works great.the only problem I had was one of the cap screws that went into the hold down snapped off when I was installing the cup. Luckily it broke at an angle and I could back it out.

Bought this after the ubiquitous ebay driver and extractor set failed...

Posted by Unknown on Oct 12th 2017

This tool is fantastic, do consider this if you are thinking that the tool for this job on ebay is garbage. My extractor quit biting after 4 cups and there's no way you'll be able to put number 7 cup in. Riff Raff's tool makes this job a breeze! The installation tool in their kit has no pilot but it doesn't need it since it fits well inside the cup. Worth the money and cheaper than taking it to a shop that would likely pull the heads off for the job...

    Injector sleeve tools

The only set I've used so can't comment on the others but in my opinion I got the best !! Worked VERY well in my E450 and I'm sure on any other Ford truck ! VERY WELL MADE, I'm a marine tech and have used a lot of special tools over the years, this kit should make Snap-On take notice !!
As for price, an old man once told me ' quality is a lot like buying hay, if you want good quality hay you must be prepared to pay the price, however, if you can be satisfied with hay thats already been through the cow, that usually come a fair bit cheaper' !
Thank you Riffraff for a very high quality set of tools, well done !!
