Great air volume
I have the 38r turbo with the Riff Raff modified aluminum wheel the truck has a lot of other modifications but stock sticks I was running the ram air system made by Banks my fuel mileage was 12.77 after adding this air filter my mileage jumped up to 17 actually 16.77 noticeable difference with the throttle in my case the filter actually quieted down the air intake draw noise I'm just using the paper blue air filter. I recommend this air filter modification it's done while in my truck

6637 blue air filter kit
I needed to replace the air filters on both of my 7.3's so I decided to spend a little more money and get these filters. Installaition on both the OBS 7.3 and the 7.3 excursion was very easy and took about an hour to get both trucks done. And that was including a few trip a to the fridge for beers. I noticed an increase in engine sound, in a good way on both. My 95 OBS is a 5-speed and I couldn't tell any difference in throttle response but my 02 excursion saw an increased throttle response. I added a 4" turbo back straight pipe hours after the intake and that increased throttle response as well. Sound is amazing now. Unsure of any MPG gains as I do a mix of driving. Overall I would recommend these filters if your budget minded and are looking for an alternative to the factory set-up.

Went there on easy. Seems a lot better than stock. Not sure if it really made any sort of difference though

Worth every penny
I've never seen much hp out of an intake on my gas trucks but this was HUGE upgrade the 7.3 diesel. I've noticed improved throttle response and it even seems like it shifts more smoothly. It's literally a 10 minute install for what feels like a new truck!

I recommend getting the pre filter as well. Looks cool and protects from dust well. Not too noisey in the cab and really helps with flow
