Only buy replacement filters from RIFFRAFF

Posted by Reno Glenn 7.3 on Aug 3rd 2018

Bought Riffraff Diesel 6637 Filter Kit 3 years ago and replaced the filter with a new Napa gold. BIG mistake run over a water puddle and sucked in the filter. The paper of the filter wiped out the turbo and plugged up the intercooler. Driving off road $2000.00. Fun in the dirt priceless.

A whole lot better than stock

Posted by Sweet on Jul 24th 2018

Dropped right in 96 F350 crew without any problems. Already experienced better throttle response & mileage going to the same places as before. Idle has gotten slightly better.

Females mechanics should find the only extra tool they need is a ladder.

    Air filter

Posted by Bill on Jul 1st 2018

Just finished putting this on my stock 2002. Have not driven with it yet. I feel very confident in using the Donaldson filter and for $60 for the kit it’s a very good deal. I had to trim of the bottom of the old air filter base to get everything to fit under the hood. Only took a few minutes with a cutoff tool, no big deal. Was fairly simple to install. I only wish it would have came with instructions. As usual, parts were Riffraff quality (the best) and only reaffirms my habit of shopping Riffraff first.

    Breathes easier

This kit allowed the engine to breathe better and from the seat it feels like a slight improvement over the stock filter. Price was reasonable. Happy with the purchase.

    Seems ok so far

Posted by Jacob from Michigan on Jun 25th 2018

I am looking for a some ways to improve my MPG on me F550 with a jib crane and I decided to give this a try. So far I have not seen an increase in mileage, but I have only run one take thru and it was on some really heavy hauling. The adapter tube was a little bit too long and the filter would not sit snugly in the engine bay. The hood closes down on it a bit. I think the adapter tube could be about 1 inch shorter and that would make it a better fit.

    The only filter that matters

I wouldn't put anything but the Donaldson filter on my truck. Don't settle for napa or any of that crap. The price is right and the filter media is the best of the best.

    So far so good

I've just put this filter on my 2001 excursion, and so far it seems to be a great filter. I drive dirt roads a lot and it works well. I also have the cover for it so I can keep it cleaner longer.
