RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts™ - Ford 7.3L 99.5-03

These billet 7075 Aluminum plenum inserts are a Riffraff Diesel original design and are patent pending. They are made to allow you to clamp down as hard as needed with T-bolt clamps so that you don't have any boost leaks. Fix your bent and crushed stock plenums with our Inserts as well. This is a budget friendly option to buying full billet plenums. Easy install, no special tools needed.

These were designed so as to add the least restriction possible while providing more than adequate structure for clamping. The Plenum Inserts have been machined to within .164" of the OEM diameter so there will not be any measurable affect on EGT's or cfm flow.

These are sold in a pair.

Riffraff Diesel Performance is committed to 100% Made in the USA on this product. All materials are from USA resources. Every machining step is performed in the USA. Every component is assembled in the USA.

    Great common sense product

The original Ford intake plenums are thin sheet metal. These allow you to tighten the clamps down so you will have no leaks. Dead easy to install. Anodized for corrosion protection. If your taking the turbo off, get these, its a no brainer to save your plenums from being crushed due to over tightening of the clamps.

Quick way to fortify intake plenums

These fit very well and install easy for as simple as they are. They did require a dead blow mallet to seat completely, but I'd rather these be tight than loose. These allow you to clamp the crap out of the manifold boots if necessary without damage

Well built and since I was in there, I may as well make it better. Easy install fit perfect.

    Plenum inserts

Luckily I bought these with riff raff’s boot set and clamps. The stocks one were bent and warped. I tapped these in gently and it allowed me to get the new boots in nice and tight.

Awesome, this is my 2nd set

Put these in my 7.3 Excursion, now in my 7.3 F250. They do just what you think they would: keep you from crunching the sheet metal plenum opening with too hard a twist on the plenum boot clamp(s). With these installed, I think I would break the clamp before I deformed the plenum sheet metal. They are SUPER thin aluminum, but incredibly strong. They fit tightly into the sheet metal plenum opening and have a lip on the top edge to keep them in place. My old Excursion, with the old factory rubber plenum boots, would start leaking every 5-10K miles. Instead of replacing the rubber boots (duh), I would just ratchet down on the factory clamps and clean out the valley. It took me a long time to get around to ordering some fresh plenum boots. With the F250, I ordered the whole kit: boots, clamps and inserts. So far so good, and I don't expect to have to go back in there to tighten the clamps any time soon. If you've got a high mileage 7.3 that leaks around the plenum boots, do yourself a favor and just order the 'kit' and be done with that leak. Then you can focus on fixing the 50 other leaks you have:)

You didn't think you need these, but you do

I was honestly surprised how much my intake plenum inlet was squeezed in when I installed these. These are the BEST peace of mind you can buy if you're currently budget minded in your build and are wanting to help stop any boost leaks.

Worked great. Can really torque the clamps. No leaks.
