Great to know you can rely on great parts dealers like Riffraff, (Clay) You can be guaranteed the best quality or OEM that is available. Thank You. This is a messy job changing them from under the truck. Tip drain coolant over night.

oil coolers O'ring kit and gaskets

Posted by carl on Apr 19th 2023

had this for couple years and leaking '
/weeping radiator needed replacement gave opportunity to change them out. I have the IH water pump so the lower hose is not in way.. getting both end off and out was not bad,, just gotta turn and wiggle.

Make sure to clean up the cooler ends I used emery cloth to get off gasket and some corrosion off..

putting the new o'rings on was easy with some oil,, putting new cooler with new o'ring back in the headers was a BEAR. some use press some use ratcheting straps.. I use straps and 2 ft long section of 2x4 to wack it was while ratcheting them down as well.. make sure the flat parts are close they do turn bit if needed.. grease on face to hold gasket adn start at back bottom put in screw frist then go to front put on gasket with grease and get bottom adn top in if possible..

whole process takes longer than you think do to prep work needed. take your time and it will be fine.
