Fantastic
HIGHLY recommend. Excellent quality. This kit and the EBPV delete took me from less than 24lbs of boost to over 31lbs boost AND reduced peak EGT by over 100deg. BUY NOW!

Couldn't be happier
I had compounding leaks ie. Up pipe exhaust leak, turbo pedistal leak, severe hpop oil leak. Replaces all of the above and on removal and inspection of the turbo my compressor wheel was severely chewed up so I replaced it with the KC ballenced assembly from Riff Raff along with the 6637 air filter and couldn't be happier. Installation was straight forward with a precision fit. The power band is night and day and doesn't stop pulling through high rpm's . Would recommend to anyone Looking for a mild build yet remaing reliable. I would also recommend exhaust and intake for full turbo potential, this thing need a lot of air.

KC balanced assembly
Ordered Friday and arrived Monday. Installed along with the deleted pedestal, big head actuator and High Flow outlet. Very pleased! Truck has PHP Hydra with canned 1023 tunes that I’ve ran for over a year on a stock turbo. This blows it away. More boost sooner plus lower egts. Noticeably more power on every setting of the Hydra. Sounds awesome and only gets better the faster it spools.when you shut down you can hear it coast way longer than the stock assembly, perhaps mine was on its last leg. Truck never threw boost code before but can easily now. Time for a Riffraff boost fooler!

DIY turbo kit
Great response, builds boost at1200 rpm & have seen 28 lbs @ 2500 with no load on 8% grade. Boost fluctuates with conditions in traffic, no lag or hesitation. Impeller seems more aggressive than stock and compressor wheel has larger mail vanes with the addition of smaller secondary vanes. Very tight fit into housing, (1.00A/R).

KC balanced assembly
Did this on 1996 that I already installed a banks intercooler on.
Installed the riffraff up-pipes, changed the exhaust housing to a 1.0, and removed the EVBP and at the same time. Up-pipes, collector, exhaust and outlet housing and down-pipe are all ceramic coated.
With all of that the truck runs much better, more boost sooner, and way more responsive, stays cooler too!
Running the generic PHP tunes on the Hydra.
Been towing with it weighing in around 15-16k combined, much more enjoyable to drive.
Since my compressor housing was cracked, the turbo is basically new at this point. Probably could have just bought a whole drop-in turbo at this point but I have no regrets -
KC Turbo Balanced Assembly
Purchased this because I had a failed oil seal. Felt like the balanced assembly was the way to go while i was in there. I already have a Banks Turbo upgrade with a new compressor wheel and turbine housing so my comments are not what you would observe when replacing a stock turbo. First, seems like some instructions would be nice. A number of extra O rings are included for different applications. They could be labeled. Second knock, is the spool time is slightly longer then my Banks kit was. But, on the upside, i would occasionaly still get surge with the Banks. So far i have zero surge with this. Also, with the Banks, if i left my foot in it on long pulls, i could easily exceed my limit on EGT's. But with this setup, so far my EGT's are down at least 100f, maybe 200f. (it was a cool damp day on my test tow run) All in all, i would buy it again. Also, im sure it spools way quicker then stock. My comparisons are to Banks. Max boost for my setup was about the same. I saw 28lbs with both this and Banks.

Turbo Rebuild Kit
This kit has made an amazing difference in the boost potential. On the factory turbo I was building 17psi max. Now with this kit as the only change I build over 23psi at a little over half throttle. I don’t have a mechanical gauge at the moment to know my exact numbers but I would be surprised if I’m not hitting 35psi now.

Balanced assembly
Very happy, my tp38 was in bad shape, the heat shield came apart and chipped the fins on the turbine, had to rebuild it and figured I’d give this a try. Went together great. It was my first turbo rebuild, i felt the instructions could have been a bit more thorough, but after getting it together and looking back on it, they were sufficient. Went from 28lbs boost to 32 lbs on a moderate tune. It lacks the whistle that some people like, but it sounds like it’s pushing more air. All in all I think it’s a great upgrade.

Awesome
Easy to do once you actually have the turbo out of the truck. Anything from KC or from Riff staff is quality
