Our 2nd Generation FRx™ System utilizes Eaton Aeroquip® 304 Stainless Steel Braided lines covered with a groundbreaking protective layer of HYTREL® from DuPont.
The FRx™ was made to solve the 'deadhead' fuel rail issue on the 99-03 Powerstroke engine by connecting the two heads and allowing a metered return you allow the air another return path, rather than forcing it through your injectors. This product was designed to eliminate the need to cut your return line and use compression fittings, so that it is a true bolt on system. We have also machined the FRx™ block to provide from stock to 72 psi of fuel pressure depending on which spring you choose to install it with. By using our kit and eliminating the air in the fuel system you can experience smoother, quieter idle, less cackle, and better throttle response among other things. You will also be increasing your injector life as well by utilizing the FRx™ and creating a regulated return back to the tank. Protective covers are also pre-installed to prevent chaffing of engine components from the SS braided line. These covers are also great if you want to keep the system looking OE and not draw attention to it once installed.

Just installed this with the CVD Fittings and I cannot believe the difference in my trucks Performance and sound. It getting plenty of fuel now.

Unbelievable
When I installed the FRx along with the High Flow Fuel CVD Fittings I expected it to increase throttle response, reduce cackle and for it to smooth up the overall running of the engine. What I didn't expect is for it to drop EGT's by 100 degrees from idle to WOT. Granted I have a few other mods that are also helping with this, but regardless I could hit 1250 degrees unloaded but now it's all I can do to hit 1150 degrees.

Great Throttle response
I have an early 99, that made this a royal pain to install, trying to get the back fitting to fit properly wasn't fun but other than that I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Great throttle response and just a tad quieter

Kill the cackle
I was looking to rid my 7.3 of the cackle I was here at highway cruse. Sounded awful, this kit was an easy install and did just what was expected and what I wanted. Not looking to build big power from this truck just tidy up, smooth it out and pick up MPGs where possible. This a great first step in this regard. So far so good, as a race car mechanic I'd say the quality is as good as one could hope to see in a production part. The fittings don't swivel but the are indexed so it all good. tip: the square head plugs in the head a 7mm and can be broke loose with an open ended 7, at least in my case. This is much better than the suggestion in the instructions.

Would suggest Riff Raff sell an elbow so don't have to grind on collector for early 99. Then I would give it a 5 star. It is well made and should help injectors last longer.

Injector insurance
Piece of mind with new injectors to keep the air out of them. hardest part for me on the install was getting the inside bolt on, even with the fuel bowl unbolted it was a real pain in the butt to get that bolt in with one of the fuel lines in my way.

This is by far one of the best mods you can do
I never though my truck could start as smooth as it does now . It was a little bit of a pain to put on but we'll worth it my throttle response is better and the truck just sounds like a new truck . I recmoned going the in tank mod along with it .
