This kit saved my butt! I thought I was going to have to replace the front cover until I found this kit. Thank you guys for putting this together and shipping so quickly.

The product worked great and everything I needed was included to save the front cover. My only complaint is that the provided drill bit is for a 1/2 drill chuck. I had to go buy a 1/2 jacobs chuck that fit my angle drill to perform this repair. Beyond that headache with the drill and my nerves being shot from trying to be as accurate as possible; IT WORKED!!!!! :)

This worked brilliantly and flawlessly!!! I just wish they made the drill bit to fit 3/8 drive, I had to grind the insert of the but down to fit inside the mouth of the drill. Other than that, zero issues.

Only thing i had a problem with, The drill bit should be 3/8 step down bit. 1/2 inch to big for my angle drill.

I only gave this product three stars because of the difficulty in being able to chuck up the drill in a 90 degree drill motor that will not cause interference with the passenger side of the block in aligning the bit with the hole. I ended up using a 90 degree pneumatic aircraft drill and purchased a jobber length drill bit that was turned down to fit a 3/8” chuck. In order to use this setup with maximum precision I removed the HPOP reservoir and the spider. This constituted more work than I originally anticipated, however, the final results were excellent. There is no spec given for the optimal setting of the drill stop so you need to take care in setting it correctly. A micrometer and depth gauge were of great help. Otherwise, the parts included in this kit are of the highest quality and used carefully this kit will make an excellent repair of stripped out HPOP mounting threads. Good luck!

Good quality taps and drill bit . You can get the inserts at just about any local hardware store for .60 cents a piece . That being said . It was nice knowing I had the correct tooling for the job

Just what the PSD doctor ordered. I give 4 stars rather than 5 just because the bit needs/should be a 3/8 shank; most of us don't have 1/2 inch 90-degree right angle drill attachment. Like other, I, too was confused on which tap was the starter and which was the finisher.

This product will save you thousands of dollars and time simple to use and great results very pleased with this product.
