Motorcraft Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor 97-04 Ford 6.0L / 7.3L

The PCM uses data supplied by the EBP Sensor to determine the fuel requirements at any given time while the truck is running. A bad EPB sensor can cause sluggish performance buy signaling the EBP valve at the turbo outlet to close at times that it should not close. A defective EBP sensor can also contribute to poor mileage.

Fitment: 3/12/96-2003 7.3L and 03-04 6.0L

    EBP Sensor 7.3

My old sensor and tube were blocked with soot. After a good cleaning, and installing this sensor, my EBP readings match BARO and MAP readings at key on engine off.

Had this intalled recently. Truck was using the original sensor. Noticed when I accelerate, the truck is smoother and shifts easier. Thanks

It's a genuine Ford part at a great price. Shipping and communication were excellent. What more can you ask for?

    Works great

Good replacement. Old sensor was reading 10 psi over atmosphere at key on engine off. New one is spot on.

    Works

Much to my disbelief this solved all of my issues. It's funny how many symptoms one sensor can cause and have you chasing the wrong things. This is an easy fix and should have tried this first as it is easy to replace on my 2005 6.0

    Preventive Change

I had cleaned it out before. Decided since I had to replace tube, might as well do the sensor to. Works like an OEM part should. Cheaper than the dealer!
