Complete CAC Intercooler Boot Kit Ford 7.3L Powerstroke 99-03

This complete kit consists of 6 pieces of 4-ply Aramid reinforced silicone hoses that are specially made for Riffraff Diesel to withstand extreme temperatures to approximately 500 degrees F (vs. standard couplers that are good to 350 degrees F) and have been tested up to 150 psi working pressure.

Available in Blue, Red, and Black.

You will need to measure the inlet and outlet size of your intercooler to know what you have.  We do not make a universal boot that fit both because fitment should be snug.  Your metal intercooler tubes are 3" on all years so you don't even need a tape measure, just take off the boot, flip it around and see if it will fit on the inlet/outlet of the intercooler.  If you need help with sizing please give us a call to ensure you get what you need.

We offer Early 99 plenum boots as well.  These can be identified by the small 2" plenum inlet where the 99.5-03 have a 3" plenum intake and the truck production date would be 12/7/98 or before.  If you need help with sizing please give us a call to ensure you get what you need. We also offer clamp kits if you are still running your stock Ford clamps.

    Got leaks?

Posted by Kyle Rich on Nov 13th 2016

Thought I had a few pinhole leaks in my old CACs, threw these in. Noticeably better, no more high pitch squealing. Not as much of a "turbo" sound, but that means its getting all the air it needs. It used to do a big like suction sound when Id hammer it then let off, now it doesnt. Kind of miss that sound but overall its got better performance. Oh ya, only installed 2 of the 6. . . #RIFFRAFF

Also. . . this is the only product I have purchased from Clay that I didnt wait on the email reminder to review.

    Nice set of intercooler boots.

Very sturdy in the way they're made yet pliable enough to install without too much force to get them into place. Very nice product.

    Excellent boot for my 7.3

Posted by Unknown on Sep 30th 2016

Very glad I finally spent the time to get into the truck and install these on my e99. Took about 4 hours and a couple ugly words but at the end of the day everything fit up, i had my boost pressure back, and the truck is very happy.

What a bitch to get the bottom two boots installed with the spyder, but they are on now. I recommend the RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts and the new clamps for them, ford uses just regular hose clamps, the new clamps, you get to tighten them so they wont leak or come off using the reinforcing inserts. Now I struggled mostly with the clamps (my stock clamps on the new boots, RDP boots are thicker). What made the clamps easy was to take the nut and spring off, position the clamp where you want it, install nut alone, run it up, then take the nut back off the clamp and install the spring and nut again. That made it so easy I just took all the rest of the clamps apart and positioned them and installed the nuts again........Take the battery and air cleaner box off (easy) you have tons or room on the driver side. Get your wife to help, mine did all the cleaning of the inter cooler pipes. Lots of sludge from leaking old boots. It was worth doing myself, and the boots are way better than the ford boots I took off my 2002 7.3. It is harder to put it all back together but its very doable. Ohhh plan on doing the work laying, sitting, and kneeling in the engine compartment, I used an old pillow to lay on.

The boots fit tight and are maintaining a seal.

    Great boot kit

Had a lot of trouble getting aftermarket boots to stay on but these boots seem to do the trick. I scrubbed the manifold and intercooler tubes with soap and water and used a spray on contact glue and they have been good so far pulling my fifth wheel on maximum boost (over 35lbs)! Buy Riff Raff Clamps and forget the spring type clamps that limit clamping force.

    Totally Worth it

Posted by Josh on Aug 19th 2016

My 7.3 was suffering from higher than normal EGT's and what seemed like low boost. I would peak at about 20-21 when I punched it. Changed the boots and now getting 25psi no problem and lowered egts by about 200*. Great product. A couple pieces are a bit longer than stock and can make it tough to line up, but doable. the IC boots were a little loose on the piping side - not sure, but they seal fine

Best boots I could ever imagine.

Besides drastically improving the look under my hood, these boots are a high quality improvement to my air flow on my truck. A little hard to get on but well worth the time and money.
