The Edge Insight CTS3 is a digital gauge display built around a 5” high-resolution swipe touchscreen with multiple layouts, customizable colors/backgrounds, and a notification/alert setup so you can set audible/visual warnings.

It also uses an HDMI-style plug for power and linking EAS accessories, which is Edge’s whole “one screen, expandable sensors” ecosystem.

For at least a decade, Edge's CTS products have been the go-to for monitoring your engine's vitals. The CTS line offers many options for monitoring, control (such as aftermarket light switches), and tuning too. It's a massive line, so let's see if we can shed some light on exactly whats what.

Want one screen and custom tuning? Edge Insight+ (PN 84140)

The Insight+ is the CTS3 platform with a VIN-specific license that lets you flash custom tuning calibrations from approved third-party tuners—directly from the device—while still doing full monitoring/diagnostics/data logging.

(Important nuance: the device doesn’t “include” tunes; calibrations are purchased separately from your tuner.)

 

The accessories that matter (EAS: Edge Accessory System)

1) EGT, boost, fuel pressure “starter pack”: EAS Street Diesel Kit (PN 98623)

If you tow, run a bigger turbo, add a lift pump, or just like knowing what’s happening, this kit is the shortcut. It’s designed to monitor EGTs, boost pressure, and fuel pressure and is aimed at daily drivers/towing setups where factory sensors aren’t enough.

What’s in the box: EAS Starter Kit, EGT probe, two 0–100 psi pressure sensors, and the Universal 5V harness.

2) Add sensors the clean way: EAS Universal Sensor Input (PN 98605)

This is the “make your CTS3 smarter” module. It reads any 0–5V signal and translates it into a readable gauge (temp, pressure, AFR, etc.). Sensors can be configured/renamed using Edge's "MyStyle."

3) Pressure sensing: EAS 0–100 PSI Pressure Sensor (PN 98607)

A 0–100 PSI, 1/8” NPT sensor that plugs into the Universal Sensor Input (98605) with proper connectors—so you’re not cutting/splicing. Use it for boost, lift pump pressure, etc.

4) EGT add-on: EAS Expandable EGT Probe w/ Starter Kit (PN 98620)

A clean add-on path for EGT monitoring (and yes, customers call out that it’s a straightforward install and “necessary for towing”).

5) Turbo cool-down automation: EAS Universal Turbo Timer (PN 98604)

Designed for most diesels. It keeps the engine running for a set time or until a target temp is reached to manage turbo cool-down, reducing turbocharger wear.

Mount it where you can actually see it

Edge Pillar Display Mount 1999–2004 Super Duty (PN 18603): cast zinc, paintable, optimized viewing position; fits 99–04 F250/F350/Excursion w/o grab handle.

Edge Pillar Display Mount 2003–2007 Super Duty (PN 18604): mounts using the A-pillar grab handle location (no drilling) and includes hardware.
