Riffraff Diesel Billet HPOP Reservoir Body for 1996–2003 7.3 Powerstroke

Riffraff Diesel Billet HPOP Reservoir Body for 1996–2003 7.3 Powerstroke

Jul 3rd 2026

The 7.3 Powerstroke HPOP reservoir feeds oil to the high-pressure oil system. When the factory cast reservoir cracks, leaks, or has damaged threads, it can create oil leaks in the valley and make diagnosis harder than it needs to be.

That’s why we built the Riffraff Diesel Billet HPOP Reservoir Body (RDP-FHR) for 1996–2003 7.3L Powerstroke trucks. It replaces the aging OEM cast body with a complete reservoir machined in America, from American-made 6061-T6 billet aluminum.

Why upgrade over OEM?

The stock cast reservoir can crack after years of heat cycles, vibration, and service work. Once the body is damaged, gaskets and sealant won’t fix the real issue. A billet replacement gives the HPOP reservoir a stronger, more durable foundation with better long-term serviceability.

Key features

  • Complete replacement HPOP reservoir body
  • Machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum
  • 100% Made in the USA
  • Stainless mounting hardware for the fuel bowl and top cover
  • Anodized finish available in multiple colors
  • OEM reference: F81Z-6658-BA

Fitment note

Fits 1996–2003 7.3L Powerstroke trucks. For 1996–1997 applications, a top cover is required.

Don’t forget the gasket

If the reservoir is coming off, replace the gasket. For 1999.5–2003 trucks, Riffraff offers the HPOP Reservoir Gasket w/ Screen, which includes the molded-in screen filter. Use the correct gasket for your application—installing the wrong style can crack the reservoir case. For vehicles without a screen equipperd gasket (commonly prior to 2000 MY, but there have been exceptions) we highly recomend adding a screen gasket with the Mini Spacer Reservoir Spacer (Here for 1994-1995 and here for 1996-2003)

Install

Remove the fuel bowl and HPOP reservoir cover, remove the old reservoir body, clean the mounting surfaces, install the correct gasket, transfer/install the top cover and hardware, reinstall the fuel bowl, then refill, prime, and check for leaks.

Care note: harsh engine cleaners can damage anodized aluminum. Use soap and water only.

Bottom line:

If you’re searching for a 7.3 Powerstroke HPOP reservoir replacement, cracked HPOP reservoir body, or billet HPOP reservoir for 1996–2003 7.3L, this is the do-it-once upgrade for the aging OEM cast housing.
