The OEM nipple is made out of steel while the water pump is made out of aluminum. Odd how the engineers at Ford did not know that when you connect two dissimilar metals and run hot liquid through the fitment the steel part corrodes fiercely. This aluminum upgrade is perfect to solve the electrolysis problem that the engineers apparently did not know about when they designed this engine. Furthermore, the OEM steel nipple is $200 at the dealer. This RiffRaff model is light years ahead of Ford’s.

I upgraded my 2000 f250 which has the 90 degree elbow stock. It's a common leak point for these trucks. This part not only looks great but performs well also. I also got the silicone hose to convert to this fitting from the 90 degree. Installation was simple and it came with all the hardware/gaskets needed to replace it. Riffraff has been my go to for years as they make great quality parts and you get a free pen with every purchase. Honestly the pen is the best too.

Getting rid of the stock 90 off the motor this straight inlet is the ticket and looks great too!

This is way better than the OEM steel one. If your originally is rusty you can probably forget it sealing. No leaks so far and I doubt ever.

This is a very quality, hefty piece to replace the stock junk. So glad Riffraff is still innovating parts like this. Works awesome with the silicone hose they make as well.

Pairs great with the thermostat housing, it’s a solid piece of Al that should last the life of the truck. Very happy RiffRaff continues to take the time to design and sell these types of products.
