Only way to go, these never leak, the rubber seal wraps top and bottom for a perfect seal unlike aftermarket thermostats that leak every time even with a ton of RTV.

My water neck started leaking, and I needed an OEM thermostat ASAP to go along with the new water neck to complete the repair. No luck locally, and we really needed the truck repaired ASAP. The seal on this thermostat assembly seals much better than the separate oring type thermostats. I bought this and Riff Raff's Billet thermostat hsg. and no leaks so far.

....I mean, the correct part. Difficult to find for the 7.3L. Glad I got one before they ran out.
