Riffraff Diesel 321 Stainless Bellowed Up-pipe Kit for Ford 7.3L 94-Early 99
The ONLY bellowed up-pipes manufactured in the USA using 100% domestic materials.
These bellowed up-pipes are for the 94-Early 99 Powerstroke 7.3L and have been designed to replace the "donut" gasket that is prone to leakage and give you a more cost effective choice over International.
Unlike many aftermarket up-pipes that use lower-grade 304 or 409 stainless steel, every stainless component in our assemblies—including the tubing, heavy-wall bellows, and upper collars—is manufactured from certified aircraft-grade 321 stainless steel. Because 321SS handles significantly higher temperatures and have better tensile strength these can also be used in much higher horsepower and towing applications than other options on the market. 321 Stainless Steel is immune to extreme temperatures, stabilized by Titanium, resists intergranular corrosion, and is high strength. Used for aircraft afterburners, exhaust manifolds, cabin heaters, flash boilers, firewalls, and stack liners.
Bellowed Up-pipes are what you need to cure those leaking stock up-pipes. It isn't a matter of IF but WHEN your factory style up-pipes will start to leak, and when they do this is your permanent answer. Because they used a bellow rather than a donut gasket these kits won't leak and will ensure you are utilizing all your boost to spool the turbo. When your factory up-pipes leak you will start to see a loss of power, mileage and a gain in EGT's. This kits come complete as pictured with everything you need to swap the leaking factory up-pipes for the new bellowed style, including hardware nuts and bolts.
Kit Includes:
- 321 Stainless Up-pipes
- International® Stainless Gaskets
- OEM Ford Motor Company Install Hardware Kit
*Ceramic Coating Details -
The Turbo Black ceramic was formulated for exhaust temps up to 2000*F and will hold in at least 60% of the heat from radiating out under your hood. Not all black coatings will achieve that function. These coatings have been specifically formulated for use on military aircraft.
By retaining the heat energy your turbo will spool up faster and more efficiently. We double coat the outside of the housing to protect it from rusting and it results in a much longer attractive finish while retaining heat. The two main functions of the coating is appearance and longevity of your engine parts and gaining a more efficient running engine.
NOTE: Early 1999 are manufactured before 12/7/1998
Riffraff Diesel Performance is committed to 100% Made in the USA. All materials are from USA resources. Every bend, machine, and weld is performed in the USA. Every component is assembled in the USA.

Worth every penny
I installed the stock replacement up pipes and donuts several months ago, so the pain and suffering of doing so is still pretty fresh in my mind. Installing the Riffraff bellowed up pipes was much simpler. Granted, I was already familiar with the tool list; however, everything seemed to fit much better. I did not pull transmission, the down pipe, or the transmission dip stick and had no issues getting the Riffraff pipes in.
Don't forget to order a new collector, if you need it.
The clearance between the new bellowed up pipes and the rear bolts of the turbo pedestal is less than the stock pipes, but it's particularly noticeable on the passenger side. On that side, I had to use a regular 10mm wrench, where I could use a ratcheting wrench with the stock pipes.
The bolts are included for both ends of the up pipes. I had no issues.
The welds on the Riffraff pipes are immaculate!
If you need new bolts for the turbo/collector connection, they are 10mm diameter x 30mm long x 1.5mm pitch class 10.9 flange bolts. If you can't find flange bolts, regular ones with washers will work. The studs are a bit longer, like 35mm. The factory studs are dual pitch, 1.25mm on the nut side and 1.5mm on the flange side. I just replaced with 1.5mm constant pitch and bought new nuts and washers.
I'm very happy with the purchase and would do it again. Wish I'd done it the first time...... -
Get ready to get dirty and bloody!
It was a pain in the arse to get the up pipes installed. Just finished the test drive well worth the money and the effort.

Quality Up Pipes
Finally went ahead and bought a set for my early 99 because the factory ones had been leaking for awhile. Very nicely built pipes that fit perfectly. Much cheaper than the International kit to. Truck is running good boost again and EGT's back where they should be. Highly recommend this product!

Good fitting and high quality
These up pipes did the trick on my 97 PSD...
The driver side pipe was a bear to install but the stock piece wasn't any easier to remove whole either. Very nice fitment and quality I would definitely purchase again -
up pipes
Must have in my opinion, fitment is great and top notch weld quality on them, I also installed the ebpv delete pedestal and makes reinstall of turbo a lot easier. Great product and cheaper than international ones

Well built!
I installed these up-pipes on my 96 OBS. I chose to install these pipes because I wasn't confident the stock pipes would not leak, even with new gaskets. I spent a lot of time wrestling with the turbo and pedestal, so I wanted to do the job right and not twice. The pipes are very well made and installed rather smoothly.

bellowed uppipes
Pipes work great, but I didnt see any instructions so when they were 3/8" short I got concerned. Staff assured me that stretching of the bellows is required during install. With that hurdle out of the way, was a breeze. Too bad I missed the turkey day sales by a day
