Fits tight after removing factory airbox. Needed to file the battery box about 1/16 to allow filter to fit without the hood contacting. Unable to speak to the power or mileage increases due to the truck being new to me. Definitely breathes better and sounds better!

WOW, this kit really lets you be truck breathe, I can really hear the turbo now.
If your thinking about this don't hesitate, I chose the blue filter. I can't comment on any other filter as I have no experience with them, as far as this one goes; it's fantastic.

This item is the best for your 1997 Ford Power Stroke. Fits perfectly, the hardest part was removing the old air filter box.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that under normal driving the intake is not much louder. It sounds great if you give it some throttle! I did have to trim the tube to avid hitting the quarter panel with the end of the filter.

Easy to install and well made parts. Well worth the money!

Installed this kit with the Donaldson blue filter and filter cover on my '97. Straightforward installation. Able to hear the turbo spool up under harder acceleration otherwise did not notice any increased noise. Nice to purchase a complete kit delivered to you door.

Could hear a difference and fuel mileage went up almost 1 mpg should have done this 400,000 miles ago poor engine couldn't breath.

I replaced a K&N with it and did notice a difference for the better .
