Easy install and perfect fit on my 97. The Donaldson blue filter doesnt lay flat so plenty of air gets in from underneath and the hood clears it by a few inches. You can definately hear the air being pulled in compared to the factory intake.

Great product fits perfect

Fits well in a 03 F350 7.3, it had originally a K&N in the truck when I bought it, wanted to avoid the issues I've researched. Installed with minimal modifications to the battery tray. Over all enjoy the throttle response improvement, the turbo sounds like it's not struggling anymore. Truck has a stock tune, no major mods except for down tube and exhaust. Everything else is bone stone stock. Have noticed increase in mpg by about 2-3 additional miles. So overall, very pleased, thanks to diesel family at RiffRaff for the kit option! Oh yeah, thanks for the sticker!

Fit as described. The instructions are easy to follow and took me 20 minutes to install. I have an early 99 so the 45 degree piping fit perfectly. I'm running a Hydra chip and did not notice any significant gains on stock but under tunes, I notice an improvement in airflow. There is slight increase in overall noise as well.

If you bought a 7.3 with the stock cold air intake, literally just buy this!
It is a great kit provided by riff raff that simplifies an essential mod to any 7.3.
It also looks good under the hood too!

I heard about this filter on a 7.3 Facebook site. I had excellent previous experience buying engine specific parts for my diesel powered pick up trucks. I bought the kit and opted for the AIR HOG BLUE, they were out of the blue ‘breathable’ pre filter bags. It showed up a few days later, and is an awesome filter. I easily watched a link they provided showing how to quickly install the filter. I removed my old FORD stock set up, installed the new one in less than 5 minutes. I am super impressed with this filter set up! One thing they don’t even tell you is that with the AIR HOG the ‘end cap’ of the filter that is usually just a big molded piece of rubber, well this one has a reverse conical filter built into it, so it’s really 2 filters in one, absolutely amazing! That kind of took it over the top for me. Now I can actually hear my engine breathe, and I can hear the turbo much better. My truck runs better and I am very happy with this relatively inexpensive purchase that gave such a big improvement. Buy it, instal it, be happy
