RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts™ - Ford 7.3L 99.5-03
These billet 7075 Aluminum plenum inserts are a Riffraff Diesel original design and are patent pending. They are made to allow you to clamp down as hard as needed with T-bolt clamps so that you don't have any boost leaks. Fix your bent and crushed stock plenums with our Inserts as well. This is a budget friendly option to buying full billet plenums. Easy install, no special tools needed.
These were designed so as to add the least restriction possible while providing more than adequate structure for clamping. The Plenum Inserts have been machined to within .164" of the OEM diameter so there will not be any measurable affect on EGT's or cfm flow.

Necessary addition to OEM
The manual warns against over tightening boots and collapsing the plenum, but I think I still had leaks. These inserts are the perfect answer. I drove them into the plenums with a brass hammer. They were a pain getting started, but fit perfectly against the machined shoulder. I have no worries about over tightening the new heavy-duty boots after installing these inserts.

Great Alternative to the Billet Manifold!
I would love to have the billet manifolds, but I can't justify the cost. I installed these many years ago, and the truck is still my daily driver. Very easy install... They slip right into the manifold. If you are worried about them being a chokepoint for airflow, don't... They are very slim and take up hardly any extra space. You can really wrench down the hose clamp to prevent boost leaks without worrying about distorting the manifold.

RDP Plenum Inserts
Both of my stock intake plenums were damaged and out of round, causing large boost leaks. These inserts were incredibly easy to install, and far surpassed my expectations. I couldnt find where the damage used to be after installing the kit. Now I can hit 24 lbs of boost on my stock turbo with an anti-surge comp wheel and a upgraded waste gate actuator.

Intake Plenums Inserts
Recently purchased these for my 03 7.3. Had crushed plenums (original from factory). Was having low boost and high EGTs. After installing, I now pull 30+ psi at WOT and don't exceed 700 EGTs. Would 100% recommend.

Plenum inserts
They installed very easy. One of my plenums was very crinkled, these inserts went in and straitened them up. Very pleased! Highly recommended!
