    Great Gauge

Posted by Brian Papiez on May 10th 2021

I love this gauge. Just follow the directions and if you get any other ISSPRO gauges you can daisy chain the wires for the gauges. I love the white face during the day and dark at night with the different colors. Also I had an older Banks gauge I was replacing and this one was installed in the exhaust manifold where Banks installed theirs in the Banks Brake exhaust housing after the turbo…what a huge difference. This gauge is very responsive and I actually purchased a new ISSPRO boost gauge to go with it. They are awesome and highly recommend ISSPRO gauges.

What if the gauge sensor isn't on the hot manifold?

This is for anybody with an aging turbodiesel, and it can't hurt to have it on a newer one. If the temperature probe is on the driver side, and that's the side with one or more cold cylinders because of malfunction - then you can be tricked into hurting your very expensive engine. Adding a passenger-side gauge has helped many friends spot smaller issues if the readings are unbalanced, and the added gauge has downright saved a few trucks/SUVs from the potential for an engine swap.

The ISSPRO EV2 R1700 series does a good job of matching my first-gen Superduty dashboard, and has worked flawlessly for 5 years/80K miles now.
