I was thinking of just replacing o rings but said to myself why waste the time replacing the just the o-rings when the oil cooler is all rusted. Good thing I replaced it and it was well worth it this oil cooler works amazing and Im happy even with the cost.

Just have a good look out of the box and hit each cooling tube with a touch of break cleaner followed by a light jet of air as the one I had received contained a fair amount of preserving wax we call it Ensus fluid in Australia, you don't want to rely on your cooling system to resolve that. And take extra care with the O rings.

Go ahead and do yourself a favor and replace everything in the system if you’re going to bother. I did the oil cooler, water pump, thermostat, around the alternator hose, and a coolant change to CAT ELC. Truck is running 9-12 degrees cooler at all times now. Couldnt be happier. Thanks to riff raff for offering affordable prices on genuine parts. I can’t afford to have this stuff fail so always going riff raff and genuine motor craft, Navistar etc.
