I debated whether to purchase this cooler or an OEM 6.0 cooler. I am VERY pleased I chose the Mishimoto cooler which is cheaper than the OEM especially after obtaining the correct step fittings from 1/2 to 3/8 line. Transmission temperatures are drastically lower and in check within the proper operating range for the transmission fluid. Installation was much easier with the radiator and intercooler out of the way. Because this cooler is now shipped with the updated hoses, the routing will need to change specifically on the passengers side to make everything fit and flow without restriction. The only thing I would change in the design would be to bend each hose barb 90 degrees toward the passengers side of the radiator support. This would make the fitment of the hoses much cleaner like the OEM cooler. Exceptional design and construction! Very nice product!

This is a very well built trans cooler with everything needed for a 7.3 super duty. For the money it’s better than the 6.0 cooler swap. Keeps trans temps in check in all situations.

Brand New built 4r100 with a decent aftermarket cooler was still hitting much higher temps than I would like.. Extremely impressed with the robust build quality, straightforward installation and excellent performance of this one. Hot day out? Bad traffic jam? Heavy load? All three at once? No problem. Performs so well I may need to put a piece of cardboard in front of part of it in the winter! Also has a serial number and lifetime warranty. I've put close to 10k miles on this one so far in various conditions, would buy again in a heartbeat.

This is the cooler to get. It fits perfectly especially if you follow the YouTube installation video. The hoses are also a perfect fit. I highly recommend this cooler

Cooler is great. Hoses are crap. Blew hoses after John Wood transmission installation. John did not install trans but his guy here in Vegas did. didn't take long for hose to blow. Maybe 5000 miles. If you choose this cooler don't use the supplied lines. Neither John nor the installer were happy about the lines. Luckily I shut it down quickly or I would have been looking at a big bill.

I was replacing my intercooler too so I had the radiator out. With everything out of the way installing this was easy. Mishimoto has a install video. I installed a CXracing intercooler which was not a drop in intercooler and needed some fab work. This trans cooler still fit perfect in place with the intercooler. No need to use the 6.0 tranny cooler and mess with the hoses

Cooler is excellent quality and the hoses are genius but there should be some directions.I ended up scratching my head a while to figure out how to make factory brackets fit.And I don't see how this wood fit behind a/c evap.But it really cools the oil.

This cooler is the best! I just bough a real nice 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty to replace my 99 F350 Super Duty which i had installed a Dorman 6.0 cooler on. Having to adapt from 1/2 inch lines to 3/8 inch coole lines can be a costly task, so on my new truck I decided to put a Mishimoto cooler that is made to install on my truck! Very ez install and clean! Now my temp. Guage hardly moves but i am sure that will change when i hook on to my 3 Horse 4o foot horse trailer!
