Mishimoto 7.3L 37 Row Transmission Cooler 99-03

Part Number:

Mishimoto 7.3L 37 Row Transmission Cooler 99-03

Heavy loads are no match for a 1999-2003 7.3L Powerstroke equipped with the Mishimoto 7.3L Transmission Cooler. The stock 7.3L Powerstrock transmission cooler can come up short of providing sufficient cooling, and with more weight in the truck bed, transmission temperatures tend to rise. Avoid those high temperatures and complement your cooling system with the latest addition to Mishimoto’s 7.3L Powerstroke performance parts, the all-new 7.3L transmission cooler.

With the Mishimoto 7.3L Transmission Cooler, high transmission fluid temperatures will be the least of your worries. The 37-row Mishimoto stacked plate cooler provides a larger surface area over both of the stock coolers. Core volume is increased by a whopping 265%, and fluid capacity is increased by 1.0 qt. The increased size of this 7.3L transmission cooler provides a proven 10+°F drop in transmission fluid temperature.

No modifications are necessary for installation, and, just like all Mishimoto 7.3L Powerstroke parts, this cooler comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

  • Direct fit for the 1999–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
  • Proven +10°F (+5.6°C) drop in transmission fluid temperature with no additional fluid pressure drop
  • No modification necessary for installation, functions with all stock equipment
  • 37-row stacked plate fluid cooler provides larger surface area over the stock 9-row transmission cooler
  • Transmission cooler core has a 265% increase in core volume compared to the factory 9-row transmission cooler
  • Increases transmission fluid capacity by 1.0 qt
  • Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

Note: Will not work with vehicles that came equipped with a high mounted power steering cooler. These vehicles will need to relocate the power steering cooler to the lower mounting location.

Easy to install and almost 3 times the size of the factory cooler

I was replacing my intercooler too so I had the radiator out. With everything out of the way installing this was easy. Mishimoto has a install video. I installed a CXracing intercooler which was not a drop in intercooler and needed some fab work. This trans cooler still fit perfect in place with the intercooler. No need to use the 6.0 tranny cooler and mess with the hoses

Cooler is excellent quality and the hoses are genius but there should be some directions.I ended up scratching my head a while to figure out how to make factory brackets fit.And I don't see how this wood fit behind a/c evap. But it really cools the oil.

The best trans cooler on the market

Posted by George Reed. Valparaiso IN on Feb 2nd 2018

This cooler is the best! I just bough a real nice 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty to replace my 99 F350 Super Duty which i had installed a Dorman 6.0 cooler on. Having to adapt from 1/2 inch lines to 3/8 inch coole lines can be a costly task, so on my new truck I decided to put a Mishimoto cooler that is made to install on my truck! Very ez install and clean! Now my temp. Guage hardly moves but i am sure that will change when i hook on to my 3 Horse 4o foot horse trailer!

    A lot cooler

Average transmission temps dropped about 20 degrees. I had to trim the tabs on the the top mounts a little in order to get the holes to line up. Other than that it fit great. The hoses for the 99-03 kit are nice because they dont require adapters they are 1/2 on one end and 3/8 on the other and pre formed to fit so they don't kink.
