John Wood Big Bore Transmission Dipstick Adapter 1994.5-2010
The factory dipstick / oil fill tube on the early Ford HD transmissions (1994.5-2010 model years) are a press in type that depend on a Teflon coating to seal and keep the transmission fluid in. Often times the Teflon coating does not seal entirely and results in a fluid leak. John Wood has made this two piece tube that utilizes Viton o-ring seals that will insure a leak free life of the part. This product also allows for a simple removal that allows you to remove the lower part of the dipstick / oil fill tube from the transmission case while the transmission is in place. Replacing the factory tube requires removing the transmission, the repair tube does not require removing the transmission making the repair only a 20 minute replacement versus a 5 hour repair.

Works Great
After one week of use no leaks. Not much info on installing it. Installation is pretty straight forward, just don't even try to completely remove the 19mm bolt. If you do good luck getting it back in. Just loosen it enough to remove the lower tube. Have plenty of socket extensions and a swivel on hand.

Fixed the leak
OEM tube is laughable. This has o-rings and seals properly. Fixed my leak.
