    Correct Tool for this Job

Posted by NICHOLAS MAGUIRE on Mar 15th 2024

I didn’t want to do my cups twice. Brushes are pricy but give peace of mind that they are doing the exact task they were designed for, and will clean thoroughly without damaging the injector bore

    Quality brushes

Great brushes, since preparation is King! for proper sealing, they were a must, since that old compound was not easy to remove even with them,

    Expensive but high quality brushes

Worked for the job and should work for many more. Quality brush kit, although could've been a little lesser of a hit on the wallet

    Injector Cup Bore Brush Kit

Posted by Alex Bowlds on Jun 29th 2023

These two brushes work well to clean out the bores in preparation for installing new injector cups. Used in conjunction with aerosolized brake cleaner, these brushes make bore cleaning easy.

    Great tools!

This is a great set! It gets into all of the injector sleeves easy! I wasn't able to get everything off with them, I still had to use a scribe for some of the retaining compound left by the injector cups but these brushes made the job much easier and it also made it easy to ensure the sleeve was clean prior to installing the injector cups by simply wrapping an clean white t-shirt around it and sliding it in to check for oil. All in all, a great set that made the job much easier!

With a little patience work's great

This product works really well for getting the old retaining compound out...for those claiming they had to cut the handles and attach to a drill, this is unnecessary and destroys the brushes which iv already used for a couple other things great quality brushes. It takes time an hour or so per cylinder helps to use a pic, I made one out of a coat hanger I sharpened on a grinder, with the use of a snake cam I was able to make sure all the black build up was gone from each bore.

Not quite adequate, especially when using them by hand.

I don't think I would have been able to remove the old injector cup retaining compound with these brushes by hand. I ended up cutting the handles off and chucking them in a drill. I was able to clean most of the bores then with these though they gave out before I had finished the last bore requiring me to purchase a different set of brushes. It is worth saying that the retaining compound is difficult to remove, but I would think that Alliant would have had that in mind given that this is their designed purpose.
