I modified my in tank fuel pick-up years ago with what was known as the "Housted T" . The oem ones that I have been using lasted over 14 years, cannot complain about that.

Always worthwhile to pop the sending unit out and have a look at these. They can become extremely clogged over the years. Not hard to replace, great to be able to buy them here, OEM without buying the entire assembly.
