7.3L Diesel Fuel Rail Crossover™ (FRx) 99-03 Powerstroke

"The Prescription For Your Fuel System Needs®"

Our 2nd Generation FRx™ System utilizes Eaton Aeroquip® 304 Stainless Steel Braided lines covered with a groundbreaking protective layer of HYTREL® from DuPont.

The FRx™ was made to solve the 'deadhead' fuel rail issue on the 99-03 Powerstroke engine by connecting the two heads and allowing a metered return you allow the air another return path, rather than forcing it through your injectors. This product was designed to eliminate the need to cut your return line and use compression fittings, so that it is a true bolt on system. We have also machined the FRx™ block to provide from stock to 72 psi of fuel pressure depending on which spring you choose to install it with. By using our kit and eliminating the air in the fuel system you can experience smoother, quieter idle, less cackle, and better throttle response among other things. You will also be increasing your injector life as well by utilizing the FRx™ and creating a regulated return back to the tank. Protective covers are also pre-installed to prevent chaffing of engine components from the SS braided line. These covers are also great if you want to keep the system looking OE and not draw attention to it once installed.

    Fuel rail crossover

Posted by Mathew Smith on Feb 25th 2018

Great product. Done the FRX, HPX, AND CVD Fittings all at the same time. All great products. Noticed better performance but to early to tell if I got a mph increase. Had minor issue with fuel psi to start with but found I didn't get the spring installed 100% correct so fuel psi was to high for my liking. Swaped springs and fuel psi is good.

Quality stuff didn't notice much only cuz the truck was aprat for 12 weeks as the only time I really have to work on it is weekends but I put cvd fittings as well as bango bolts so yea but I would assume it helped. Like it says above allows air a different path back prolonging injector life

The FRx is a must if you want more efficiency out of your powerstroke! I also did the HPx and the high flow CVD fittings and WOW what a huge difference. Better throttle, smoother idle, better MPG, and more power through accelerating! Riffraff you done it again! Awesome product. Brought my 280k excursion back to life!!!!

single best improvement to the fuel system you can do!

Posted by Bill Vrastil on Jan 15th 2018

Installed new Banjo Bolts and the CPV(?) delete, then put this fuel rail crossover on. What a difference it made in my 2000 Excursion's engine smoothness! This one single mod makes the engine much smoother. This is a "Must Install" on your 99-03 7.3L engines.

    Good Product

Installed frx and the hpo crossover at the same time. So far i think it has made a big difference in throttle response. I cant quite tell if it has "quieted" the engine down but i can tell a huge difference in how smooth it runs, especially when takeing off from a stop, the engine just keeps going without bogging down no throttle needed to keep engine running smooth. So far im happy with it. But its only been 2 days. I would love to see 2.7 mpg increase like some people have claimed! If i do ill be sure to let everyone know. But even without that, I would recommend this product to any one with a 7.3l.

    Riffraff FRx and HPx Review

Posted by Unknown on Dec 22nd 2017

I installed both the Riffraff FRx and HPx at the same time, Installation was relatively easy. A little bit of a PIA to access the front FRx fitting with being a tight fit in that area. Rear fitting was easy to get to, especially with air intake boot removed to access the HPx fittings. It does seem quieter inside the cab of the truck, but I can't say for sure. Might just be me expecting it to be more quiet with these items installed. Regardless, by design these items should help out my 2002 Powerstroke. Another quality product from Riffraff diesel.
