Motorcraft Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor 97-04 Ford 6.0L / 7.3L
The PCM uses data supplied by the EBP Sensor to determine the fuel requirements at any given time while the truck is running. A bad EPB sensor can cause sluggish performance buy signaling the EBP valve at the turbo outlet to close at times that it should not close. A defective EBP sensor can also contribute to poor mileage.
Fitment: 3/12/96-2003 7.3L and 03-04 6.0L

Turbo working again!
Bought for my '05 Excursion (2004 motor) 150k miles on the original. Showing 0 psi at key on engine off. Cleaned the tube and sensor, but determined I needed a new one. Called 2 dealers in the area and was quoted $135-250 to get one from them. Found Riffraff and price was WAY less for OEM part.
New sensor in, now my Baro, MAP, and EBP match at KOEO. Fuel economy went back to normal, and the turbo is behaving again! Quick shipping, ordered on a Monday and arrived the same week on Friday. -
Sensor in, exhaust valve is working again
Installed this in my 96 psd, according to my auto enginuity, the old sensor was showing 55psi all the time, with new sensor installed, along with a exhaust tube cleaning all is well, pressures are normal and ebpv is operating as it should. this was very easy to install.
