After reading how much bigger and better this filter is, I decided to order one and try it on my ‘97 F-350. As others have stated, it is an extremely tight fit, but it did thread on. The filter is 11.75” long and not only barely fits length wise, but also barely clears the oil pan diameter wise. My oil pan had some road grime and oil buildup on it and some of this ended up on the filter from threading the filter on just because of how close it was…it was barely rubbing the road grime (but not the pan). Time will tell how much better filtration this filter has, but it’s a Donaldson so I’m sure it will be great. Riffraff has by far the best price on these.

After ordering this filter I had my reservations but I was optimistic about it because of all the great reviews. When it arrived finally as I live on the other side of the country in georgia it was about a weeks wait (not a big deal) I opened the box and just laughed. This thing makes oem motorcraft filters look tiny even though they really aren't. This thing puts that motorcraft filter to shame. It hasn't been under the truck but a couple days so I look forward to seeing how it does. So far so good. I like the extra oil capacity, more filtration and longer oil life which is exactly why I bought the filter to begin with. My next purchase will be insane diesel bypass oil filtration system to really help keep the oil cleaner. I use my 7.3 for my business and the more protection I can give it the better as its too expensive to buy a new truck as of right now. So if I can keep this ole girl going that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Love that it holds 3/4 of gallon oil and it dose what is say it will filter out soot

Fitment on the 2000 super duty 7.3 diesel was great, The filter is almost a foot long and when installed it's about an inch below your oil pan and holds about 2 quarts of oil.

Donaldson is great quality and I like extra capacity of oil

Pop a hole in your oil filter when you are changing the oil and replacing your filter. Makes so much less of mess.
Ok, I like these filters a lot. they have extra oil that our trucks can use, they come off and go on so much easier. That's about it. Easy and clean.
