I have a 02, 7.3, with a # 8 Cylinder in-balance. Replacing the Gray CPS was a major improvement with the idle, power and milage, the code also went away, The truck runs better than ever!

A bonus, replacing the old gray CPS was the cause of a annoying oil leak, O-Ring was broken.

Truck was dead...mechanic somehow figured cps was out...installed new aftermarket...truck had a regular annoying miss. Looked online and one person wrote installed aftermarket cps and truck got the hiccups. I was like YES...HICCUPS!!! Motorcraft cps fixed it. Miss is gone.
