Why It's Needed: 1999–2016 Super Duty Front Wheel Bearing Grease Tool (ABS Block Off Fitting) Dana 50/60

Mar 16th 2026

Ford’s Dana 50/60 front wheel bearings (1999–2016 Super Duty 4x4) aren’t designed to be regularly serviced or greased—which is a big part of why unit bearings can feel like a “replace, don’t maintain” wear item. Our fix is simple: use the ABS sensor bore as a clean access point, grease the bearing, then put the sensor back in. That’s exactly why we created the Front ABS Grease-able Block Off Fitting (RDPABS).

What it does

  • Installs in place of the front ABS sensor during service.
  • Lets you add grease through the built-in zerk fitting, then remove it and reinstall the ABS sensor.
  • Can be left installed permanently on trucks with rear-wheel ABS only (2WABS), or used as a clean plug for swaps where ABS isn’t used (a very popular accessory for Jeep and other axle swaps).

(And yes—this same concept is used across the off-road world: replace the ABS sensor with a zerk-style adapter to add grease and extend unit bearing life.)

Specs

  • 6061 billet aluminum
  • Hard anodized for durability
  • Grease zerk included
  • USA-made Viton O-ring for a leak-free seal
  • Made in the USA
  • Sold individually

Fitment:

  • 1999–2016 4x4 Dana 50/60 axles

Install

Remove the wheel/tire, clean around the ABS sensor, remove the sensor, install the fitting in the ABS bore using the ABS hold-down bolt as needed, pump a high-quality wheel bearing grease into the hub while spinning the rotor to distribute it, then remove the fitting and reinstall the ABS sensor.

Torque notes:

  • ABS sensor bolt: 13 ft-lb
  • Wheel lug nuts: 155–165 ft-lb

Grease tip: We recommend a high-quality wheel bearing grease like Mobil 1 Synthetic Wheel Bearing Grease or Valvoline Cerulean Grease as examples.
