Why owners replace the OE stand pipe

1. The OEM stand pipe breaks.

One of the most common things for new OBS 7.3 owners, snapping the stock stand pipe flush at the threads, which is exactly the situation this billet assembly prevents.

Plus, the check valve stem breaks during removal/installation way too easily after time.

2. The internal check valve can create problems.

The new Riffraff billet assembly deletes the fuel-bowl stand pipe’s internal check valve components, removing one more failure/restriction point inside the bowl.

 

What this billet assembly does

• Replaces the OEM stand pipe in the 1994–1997 fuel bowl.

Install reality (quick and easy): 

Remove the fuel filter, remove the existing stand pipe, install the billet stand pipe assembly, reinstall the fuel filter, then reassemble and check for leaks. Done.

Important note: We've said it twice, and it's worth saying again: The stand pipe is left-hand thread—it loosens the opposite direction of normal fasteners.
