EBC Brake Upgrades for Ford Powerstroke Trucks
Jul 31st 2026
A Powerstroke is heavy before the trailer gets hooked up. Add bigger tires, a trailer, steep grades, heat, and daily use, and the brake system starts working a lot harder than most people give it credit for. That’s why we carry EBC brake pads and rotors for Ford diesel trucks.
The EBC lineup includes drilled and slotted sport rotors, Greenstuff pads, Yellowstuff pads, and Orange Stuff HD pads for Super Duty and Excursion applications. Applications exist for most trucks, including but not limited to: 99.5–03 front rotors, SRW/DRW rear rotors, 05–07 front and rear rotors, front/rear pad sets, and more.

Which EBC pad should you choose?
For a daily-driven light duty use truck, Greenstuff is the cleaner upgrade. Greenstuff has an Aramid-fiber, reduced-dust compound for light trucks and SUVs, designed as a better-than-stock option with minimal rotor wear, less dust, and low noise.
For a truck that tows regularly, sees more heat, or gets driven harder, Yellowstuff adds a higher heat threshold while still keeping a strong bite on the rotors. EBC positions Yellowstuff as similar in bite to Greenstuff, but with more heat capacity for heavier load and speed demands (albeit with a little more dust too).
For more severe duty, lifted trucks, oversized tires, heavier towing, or owners who want the most braking bite, Orange Stuff HD / Extra Duty is the more aggressive move. EBC's Extra Duty truck pads are aimed at oversized tire setups, lifted trucks, towing, and trail use where stock brakes feel short on power.

Why EBC GD Sport rotors?
EBC’s GD Sport rotors use a slotted and dimpled design instead of through-drilled holes. The dimples and slots help with pad degassing without sacrificing rotor integrity. The wide slots also help pull air through the pad/rotor interface to reduce heat during heavy braking. They also include internal directional vanes/webbing to grab more air and funnel it through the inside of the rotor, further increasing heat dissipation. Heat is, afterall, the number one killer of brake performance. Brake heat is what turns a good pedal into fade, smell, shake, and white-knuckle trailer stops.
Bottom line: If you’re searching for EBC brakes for Ford Super Duty, 7.3 Powerstroke brake pads and rotors, 6.0 Powerstroke brake upgrade, or EBC Greenstuff / Yellowstuff / Orange Stuff pads, Riffraff’s EBC lineup gives Powerstroke owners a clean path to better braking for daily driving, towing, and heavier truck use.
