Why upgrade?

A freer-flowing exhaust helps the turbo move exhaust out with less restriction. That can improve exhaust sound, throttle response, turbo response, and help control EGT, especially under load.

Fitment note

While the mass majority of 7.3's did not come with catalytic converters, some models did. Verify the truck’s catalyst configuration before ordering. Again, this kit is for automatic transmission/non-catalyst models, so trucks with different emissions or exhaust configurations may need a different system.   

 

Install

Remove the stock turbo downpipe band clamp, cut and remove the original exhaust as needed, install the downpipe with the factory band clamp, hang the muffler in the stock location, install and trim the intermediate pipe as needed, install the tailpipe sections, align the full system, then tighten the clamps and check for leaks. We highly recommend leaving clamps loose until the entire system is installed and aligned.
