The 6.0L Powerstroke FICM controls injector operation, and when it starts dropping voltage, the truck can act like it has bad injectors, weak batteries, glow plug issues, or all of the above. Common symptoms include long crank, no-start, rough cold idle, white smoke, loping idle, injector group codes, weak injector buzz, or DTCs like P0611, P2146, P2149, and U0105. Healthy FICM power side should test around 47–49 volts; below 35 volts points to a bad power supply.

Why replace the FICM?

The FICM lives on the driver-side valve cover, where it sees heat, vibration, and contamination on a daily basis. It takes a beating in its home. The power supply side is the most common failure point, while logic-side failures are less common. Install Notes
