7.3 Powerstroke HPOP Line Disconnect Tool (99–03) | STC Quick Disconnect Removal Tool

7.3 Powerstroke HPOP Line Disconnect Tool (99–03) | STC Quick Disconnect Removal Tool

Jun 3rd 2026

If you’re working on HPOP lines on a 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke, this little tool is the difference between a 30-second job and potentially destroyed or leaking STC fittings (or ones that don't come out at all). The factory hoses use Eaton STC quick-disconnect fittings at the heads and HPOP, and they’re designed to release with a specific disconnect tool, such as this one. If you’re already planning an HPOP line job, this is the $12 tool that keeps it from turning into an hour.

What it’s for

  • Correctly removing HPOP hoses or fittings from the cylinder heads and/or HPOP on 99–03 7.3L trucks with STC quick disconnects.
  • Essential when you’re replacing worn STC hoses or doing a JIC conversion / upgraded HPOP lines.

Why use this over “whatever fits”

The STC connector locks with a ring/sleeve. This tool is made to slide in behind the release sleeve and unlock the locking ring so the hose comes off easily and cleanly.

Specs (the product details that matter)

  • 7075 billet aluminum
  • Hard black anodized
  • Laser engraved
  • 100% Made in the USA

Use Tips:

Insert the disconnect tool behind the release sleeve on the head fitting to release the locking ring, then pull the hose free. Repeat at the HPOP fitting if needed. Easy stuff.
