7.3 Powerstroke Fuel Feed Line Kit (99–03): Stainless Braided JIC Upgrade
Apr 23rd 2026
Why 7.3 owners replace the factory hard lines
The OEM hard lines from the fuel bowl to both heads are known for being worn, restrictive, and failure-prone as trucks age—and when one breaks, it’s usually at the worst time (like mid-trip). The fix? Upgraded stainless steel braided lines with reliable JIC connections.
What this kit is
Riffraff’s Fuel Feed Line SS Braided Hose Kit for 7.3 Powerstroke (part number RDP-FFL-SD) replaces the OEM hard lines with Eaton Aeroquip 304 stainless steel braided lines covered in DuPont HYTREL for abrasion protection. It also moves you away from the stock Vibra-Loc sleeves to a leak-proof JIC adapter connection for long-term reliability.
Key benefits
- Replaces worn/restrictive OEM hard lines from fuel bowl to both heads
- Upgrades problem-prone Vibra-Loc sleeves to JIC adapters for a more secure seal
- Solves passenger-side hardline pedestal interference when converting to a T4 turbo kit
- Made in the USA
Install note:
Do not over-tighten the 90° elbow in the fuel bowl. It’s a tapered thread, and over-tightening can crack the fuel bowl.
Installation
Remove the OEM hard lines from the fuel bowl to both heads, install the JIC adapters, route the braided lines cleanly to the driver and passenger heads, tighten the JIC connections, then key-on prime and check every fitting for leaks.
